Did you know that Culver City has a very special bond with our Sister City, Kaizuka, Japan? For years, the Culver City Sister City Committee has fostered a wonderful youth exchange program, alternating each year between sending our local students abroad and welcoming Japanese students to our home turf.

🇯🇵 This Summer, It’s Our Turn to Host!

We are thrilled to welcome four high school students from Kaizuka this summer. We want to ensure they receive the same incredible warmth and hospitality our kids experience in Japan, so we’re raising funds to provide them with unforgettable local programming and activities!

Join us for a delicious way to give back!
When: Thursday, May 28th
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: Shakey's Culver City
The Impact: 25% of net proceeds from the entire day will go directly to supporting the Kaizuka exchange program - mention CCWCC when ordering
🌎 Get Involved
Want to learn more? Members of the committee and prior participants will be on-site to chat about:
Future Exchanges: Information for 8th–11th graders interested in heading to Japan!
Hosting: Learn what it’s like to open your home to a student.
Chaperoning: Help lead these life-changing cultural trips.
You do NOT need to speak Japanese to participate! This is all about cultural exchange, friendship, and community.
Spread the word, bring your appetite, and let’s show our Sister City students the very best of Culver City! 💙❤️
