We are incredibly proud of our BCBA team for representing 29 Acres at the annual conference of the Association for Behavior Analysis International in San Francisco!

Our team presented on how behavioral supports can enhance the quality of life for adults with autism through person-centered, evidence-based practices that promote independence, community involvement, meaningful relationships, and self-determination.

It was an honor to share the work happening at 29 Acres with professionals from across the country and contribute to important conversations about supporting autistic adults. We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase our mission and the impact of our community every day.

At 29 Acres, we believe that inclusion starts with understanding.
This week, Howdy by 29 had the opportunity to visit UT Southwestern and serve ice cream to students participating in curriculum focused on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and neurodiverse populations.
Accessing quality healthcare can present unique challenges for many individuals with disabilities. That's why it's encouraging to see future healthcare professionals intentionally learning how to provide more inclusive, compassionate, and person-centered care.
We were honored to be part of this experience and connect with students who are helping shape a future where people of all abilities feel seen, understood, and supported.
Thank you to UT Southwestern for investing in education that promotes inclusion and dignity for everyone. Opportunities like these help build stronger communities and a more accessible future for the individuals we serve.

🌟 29 MVPs: Celebrating Our Outstanding Team Members! 🌟

Each month, we highlight two 29 Acres team members who truly embody the mission, values, and spirit of 29 Acres. This recognition shines a light on the incredible work happening across our programs and celebrates those who consistently go above and beyond!

This month, we’re excited to celebrate: Allyson & Dani!

🌟 Their Impact:

Allyson: Allyson consistently makes a positive impact on the lives of the clients she supports by always encouraging them to reach their highest potential. Through her work as both a job coach and life coach, she helps clients build independence, confidence, and important job skills that empower them in their daily lives and future goals. She demonstrates compassion and leadership in the way she meets each client where they are, while still motivating and supporting them to grow. Allyson is a true team player who is always willing to step in, support others, and advocate for client success. Her patience, encouragement, and dedication make a meaningful difference not only for the individuals she works with, but for the entire 29 Acres community.

Dani: Dani truly embodies the core values of teamwork and excellence at 29 Acres, making them the perfect choice for MVP of the month. Their bright, positive energy is infectious, and they consistently bring enthusiasm to every interaction while actively participating with our clients. No matter how fluid the schedule gets, Dani remains incredibly flexible with staffing and is always the first to raise their hand to help wherever needed. This unwavering dedication supports our entire staff and elevates the quality of care we provide every single day.

Summer time is around the corner!

Summer is a wonderful season here at 29 Acres, as our clients look forward to all the exciting activities and experiences that come with warmer weather. From spending more time outdoors to enjoying activities around campus with friends, summer creates many opportunities for connection, recreation, and making lasting memories within our community.
One of the biggest highlights of the season is our boat program, where clients get the chance to participate in adaptive surfing and adaptive tubing. These experiences provide excitement, confidence-building, and so much fun for everyone involved. Clients are also excited for the pool to reopen and for all the adventures and activities happening throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex this summer. We are looking forward to another amazing season filled with laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments at 29 Acres!

Big news at 29 Acres!

After eight incredible years of growth, Founder Debra Caudy is transitioning from her role as CEO to focus more intentionally on program development, clinical work, and the mission she loves most—supporting individuals with autism and special needs.

We are thrilled to welcome Bill Braem as the new CEO of 29 Acres!

Since joining the team in February, Bill has immersed himself in our community—getting to know our residents, families, staff, and programs firsthand. With more than 25 years of operational executive leadership experience and a strong background in nonprofit leadership, he brings both expertise and heart to this next chapter of 29 Acres.

Debra will remain actively involved as Chairman of the Board while also making more time for her growing family and grandchildren.

This is an exciting new season for 29 Acres, and we are so grateful for the continued support of our community as we grow together.

Thank you for believing in our mission.

Win Wednesday! Working toward greater independence, Sam is learning to independently prepare and cook his own pasta meals using a visual task analysis paired with written instructions. Through consistent practice and support, Sam has successfully learned to follow each step of the cooking process, with staff support and supervision being systematically faded as his skills continue to grow. We are proud of the progress Sam has made toward increased independence and confidence in the kitchen.

What an eventful weekend! 🤩

Our TA students harvested fresh, seasonal vegetables from the garden this week and showed up to the Little Elm Farmers Market ready to work, learn, and connect with the community!

It was an especially meaningful day as they stepped into a real market setting to sell what they’ve grown, from planting and caring for the garden all the way through harvest and preparation. These hands-on experiences continue to build confidence, independence, and real-world job skills in such a powerful way.

It was also a special treat sharing our tent this week with our newest addition to 29 Acres, Howdy Homemade by 29, serving up ice cream alongside our fresh veggies. Our Howdy Heroes worked hard behind the scenes to prep all of the ice cream for this event, making sure everything was ready to go for market day - and it showed in every scoop served! 🍨

Seeing both programs side by side made the day even more fun and really highlighted the heart of what we do—creating inclusive, purpose-driven opportunities where individuals can learn, grow, and shine.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported their hard work, and encouraged them throughout the day. We’re already looking forward to the next market day! 🥕🍦
