The KYHA is a unified, statewide h**p organization that focuses on inclusion and the betterment of all stakeholders within the Kentucky H**p Industry.

The mission of the Kentucky H**p Association (KYHA) is to represent the interests of the emerging Kentucky h**p industry. As a 501(c)(6) membership-based non-profit trade group, we seek to encourage the research and development of new products made from industrial h**p while offering our members a network of like-minded, trusted individuals within the current h**p industry.

🌱 KYHA Board Member Nic Johnson from Black Barn Holdings was out getting fields prepped for spring planting.

He’s laying plastic and drip tape for irrigation, which many farmers use across a variety of crops. This helps with moisture retention, quality control, and of course, keeping weeds down.

It's great to see Kentucky farmers hard at work preparing for another growing season!

🚨 Federal H**p THC Ban Delay Amendments Blocked in Congress

Several proposed amendments that could have delayed or modified the upcoming federal restrictions on h**p-derived THC products were blocked from a vote in Congress.

Among the proposals were efforts to:
✔ Delay enforcement of the federal ban
✔ Protect access to h**p-derived products
✔ Clean up labeling and safety standards
✔ Provide businesses and farmers additional time to adapt

A h**p seed company in Maine says new federal h**p restrictions could force them to shut down later this year—highlighting growing concerns across the industry about how broad h**p regulations may unintentionally impact agriculture, seed suppliers, and small businesses.

North Atlantic Seed Company, which works with farmers and retailers nationwide, says the upcoming federal enforcement changes could classify many h**p seeds as illegal due to how the law defines h**p genetics and THC thresholds.

For many in the industry, this raises larger questions about:
