Last night was a special night at the joint meeting of the Crisfield Lions and Crisfield Liioness Lions ! Lion Fern Griffith was honored with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship, the highest form of recognition from LCI. Today Lions from Queenstown, Greensboro, Crisfield Lioness, Hurlock, and Easton came together to make a difference. Working side by side, Lions packed an incredible 9,179 pairs of glasses, and 2,278 eyeglass cases filling 42 boxes destined for Mexico. Through this simple act of service thousands of people will have the opportunity to receive the gift of improved vision. This is what Lionism is- clubs working together serving beyond borders. A huge thank you to Lion Mark LeRoux for organizing the event and everyone who donated their used glasses.
