While the weather didn’t fully cooperate with us today, we made the most of it and still served up Softcrab Sandwiches, Burgers and Hotdogs for the Crisfield Uncorked W**e Festival.

Thank you to Kara, Steve, John, Rising Tide Crisfield and the High Tide Club for having us and we look forward to it next year!

When we got the news of the passing of Lion Doug “cheeseburger” Nelson this morning, it was a moment of sadness and then a reflection of a life well lived and dedicated in service to our community.

A 41-year member of our club, past club president, past chairman of the Glenn Ward Tournament during its almost 30 year run, past chairman of the Crab Derby Swim Meet, past sausage sale chairman, and so many other things. One thing was always consistent, whenever you needed Doug, he was there.

Among Lions:
The size of your body is of little account.
The size of your brain is of some account.
The size of your heart is of the most account of all.
Your service is the evidence of your greatness.

Today we lost not only a dedicated and loyal member of our club, but Crisfield lost a true icon and dedicated community volunteer.

Please keep Linda, Ryan, Kelly, Beth, Bonnie and their entire family in prayer. ❤️
