Join us at the Extension office at 84 Cedar Avenue to Cut & Sand your Derby Car! Vroom Vroom, let's get ready to race!
🚗🏁 HOW TO GET STARTED WITH THE WAKULLA MAKER DERBY 🏁🚗
Getting started is easy, and no experience is required!
You do not have to attend the workshops to participate. The workshops are simply available for anyone who would like help building their car or access to tools and materials.
Step 1: Get a Car Kit
If you're not sure how you're going to build your car, you can purchase a kit from us for $6 cash while supplies last. You can also purchase a kit from Amazon or your local Scout Store.

Step 2: Cut, Shape, and Sand Your Car
Once you have your kit, it's time to start building! We have tools available and volunteers ready to help at our Cut & Sand workshops:

Step 3: Paint and Decorate Your Car
You can do this at home, or join us at one of our Paint & Assemble Workshops:
🎨 Wakulla County Public Library
🕕 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

• Thursday, July 9
This is where your creativity gets to shine!
Step 4: Show Up and Race!
Bring your completed car to the Maker Derby and see how it stacks up against the competition. Remember that speed is not the most important thing. The most important thing is to have fun and learn something new!
