The Salvation Army of Cortland would like to send out a thank you shout out to Gorger’s Cortland for truly knocking it out of the ball park with our June Guest Chef meal! Chef Matthew Diamond provided a fantastic meal of Swedish meatballs over a bed of egg noodles, and topped with a delicious Lingonberry cream sauce. Dinners flew out the door, and Chef even contributed to our marketing for the dinner through his social media, which was a huge assist. Matt truly embodied what it meant to be a “Guest Chef” for us here at the Army. Giving back to your community in such a generous way is something we truly appreciate, Matt!

July’s Guest Chef dinner is Disabled Veterans of Cortland County, and they are serving up their chicken cordon bleu casserole for us again this year. This meal is a fantastic one, so get your orders in fast if you haven’t already!

The Salvation Army of Cortland would like to send out a huge thank you to Gator’s Tavern for kicking off our first Guest Chef dinner of the 2026 series with an incredible meal. They provided delicious pulled pork, baked beans, pasta salad, and coleslaw for all to enjoy. We truly appreciate the generosity of Andy Fox, his staff, and family for so generously providing this to us.
