Happy Monday, friends!

As we start another week, we want to mention that we have a regular club meeting tomorrow, the 2nd, at the clubhouse @ 6:30pm.

Reminder - we are at a single meeting per month until next winter season begins.

Hopefully you have had a nice start to spring/summer and haven’t lost too many fishing lures, golf balls, tires, or whatever else you’ve been doing! Be safe out there and we’ll see you soon!

Pic for attention!

Good morning, friends!

By now, everyone is aware of the conditions that no longer allow any type of trail riding, but, possibly some are still out exploring Lake Vermilion. So we just would like to note that we have removed all directional stakes and will no longer be commenting on lake travel.

Also, as we are in the spring transitional period, we have opened the brushing window and will be working periodically on the Wolftrack and around town. Next week and weekend will also be a big hitter for this.

We have some other small projects that will proceed at varying rates so we will provide pictures and updates as those things materialize.

And finally - we would like to thank all of the private landowners that have allowed us trail crossings, lake access and a general willingness to let us continue to enjoy the sport of snowmobiling. Without these folks, plenty of trails wouldn’t exist.

Attached are a couple photos from a day on the Wolftrack. Enjoy!

Happy Monday, friends!

We’d like to mention that we have a regular club meeting tomorrow, the 3rd, at 6:30pm @ the clubhouse.

We are coming off yet another week that had the entire mixed bag of weather. We don’t have much for snow in the forecast and the temps do not look good. Is this the end? We’re not sure but activity will definitely slow down and/or stop.

More details will be posted later on after some internal discussions take place.

Stay tuned! Thanks! 😎❄️

Good Friday morning, friends! After some time has passed this week since our recent snowfall, we need to share a couple things, one of which is an update on the Vermilion River - north of the CCC Camp there is an open channel of water but nothing to impede travel at this point. The large white pine tree is located at 10 mile creek. This about a mile north of the CCC Camp Portage. The first two pictures are before and after cutting the top of the white pine looking south. The third picture is looking north. There is enough room to navigate river if hugging the west riverbank. Five sledders passing by said they didn't feel unsafe with the river section south of the VRT. The fourth picture is from the point near the white pine looking south to CCC Camp portage. Fifth picture is from the Crane Lake Road (hwy 24). As always, river travel is at your own risk, please keep your awareness high and your eyes 👀 open!

The remaining pics are from grooming activity, most portages are done as well as the Bearskin. The Spur and the Wolftrack should receive some love tonight unless other issues arise.

Stay safe out there friends, winter isn’t over yet! Happy trails!

Edit for date for river photos - 2/19/26 @ 4pm

Happy Wednesday, friends!

As we’re sure you’re aware, we’ve received varying amounts of snow in the area. Reports are all over the place, with the highest amounts out on the north shore.

Locally it’s anywhere from a couple inches to over a foot. Again, these amounts are widely varying. This snow will pack and looking ahead at the forecast should be hanging around for a while.

Having said that, we do plan on establishing grooming activities over the next couple days to set things up moving forward. Since we’ve had some wild wind gusts over the last 36 hours, we’re asking anyone that comes across blown down trees or other hazards to let us know so we can address as required as part of that activity.

Please ride with awareness with all of the new snow, conditions do change rapidly. Thank you for your consideration and support like always, and happy trails!

Here’s a before and after trail/parking lot pic after the snow overnight!

Good Monday morning, friends!

Just a quick note here that we will be having a regular club meeting tomorrow, the 17th, at 6:30pm at the clubhouse.

Also - we’ve been receiving inquiries on trail conditions so we’d just like to mention here that over the past weekend we lost a majority of our snow with some open areas down to zero snow cover. However - it does appear that we will be getting snow over the next couple days so after that is all said and done we will provide another update on what to expect. Keep your fingers crossed!

Good morning, friends! If anyone is out and about this weekend, please be alert and keep your awareness high. Traffic will likely be increased with less frigid temps.

Secondly, we’d like to share a trail photo from residents/members Jason, Howard, Dave, Pete, and Todd! Sometimes the environment is just as exciting and interesting as the machine and the trail! Check out the fun shed find!

Happy trails, everyone!
