Reminder: if your home or business sustained damage from last month's flood, please fill out our damage reporting form so that our assessors staff can schedule a visit. Depending on the extent of the damage to the buildings, there is the potential for some property tax relief, such as a credit or future abatement. You can access the form here: https://www.stlouiscountymn.gov/residents/damage-reporting-information
The form typically takes just a few minutes to complete, and you are encouraged to include descriptive photos showing the damage. (Damage to driveways, landscaping, culverts and personal property such as vehicles and docks unfortunately do not qualify for relief.)
If you've reported damages to your city, you still need to fill out our form so that our appraisers get the information.
County staff started touring flood damaged homes and businesses - including nearly 200 in the Cook area this week.
