Breast cancer is often framed as a women's issue, but it's a family issue. Every one of us has a mother, sister, wife, daughter, aunt, or friend whose life this disease can touch. And men can get breast cancer too. Black men are often diagnosed later, partly because few of us know it's possible.
Brothers, here's your charge:
Ask the women in your life if they're current on their screenings.
Offer to drive, sit with them, or handle the kids so they can go.
Pay attention to your own body, and tell your doctor about any changes.
Strong men support, listen, and show up.
