The first Wonder Wednesday for Intentionally Great Learning Center for the 2026-2027 school year is in the books…and was filled with BOOKS 📚!

Our students were able to freely explore the library, practice reading in pairs and groups, enjoy the outdoor story book trail and musical instruments, and finish off a great day with a picnic and a little playtime in the park.

Being told by the librarian at the end that we had one of the best groups/schools that she’s hosted in a long time was a an AHHHHMAZING feeling!

Just remember, learning…practicing math facts, letter sounds, blending words to read phonetically can happen ANYWHERE! Go outside…go to a park..throw a ball on the yard WHILE reviewing and testing their knowledge!

🎉 WEEK 3, HERE WE COME! 🎉

We are excited to kick off Week 3 at IGLC! 💙📚
Last week, a major focus was completing our Beginning-of-the-Year Assessments—and at IGLC, assessments are SO important!

We assess with attention and intention because the results help us do what we do best:

✨ Meet scholars exactly where they are
✨ Identify strengths and learning gaps
✨ Set meaningful academic goals
✨ Create Individualized Learning Plans for each student
✨ Partner with families to create a plan for growth and success

But assessments definitely didn’t stop the learning or the FUN! 🤩 Our scholars were still learning, exploring, collaborating, and growing. Here’s a little sneak peek at some of the ways our 1st–3rd grade scholars kept learning engaging and exciting last week! 🎥✨

Up next for Week 3: A little movement, regrouping, and intentional placement as we use what we’ve learned from our assessments to best serve each scholar according to their academic needs, strengths, and goals. 🎯📈

At IGLC, we don’t believe every child should receive the exact same thing—we believe every child should receive what THEY need to grow. 💙

That’s what it means to do learning differently… INTENTIONALLY. 🌱✨

It’s official, we are opening our SECOND Kindergarten classroom at Intentionally Great Learning Center because our current one is already FULL!

Now we will have a Grow & Glow classroom so we can push our scholars to their ABSOLUTE highest potential!

When you look at this group of students, educators, and support staff, know that you are looking at GREATNESS! ✨📚🙏🏾

What an incredible inaugural year for Intentionally Great Learning Center! Words truly cannot express how proud I am of the growth, dedication, perseverance, and excellence that took place within these walls this school year.

We had teachers walk through our doors with nervousness about teaching multiple grade levels at once and embracing a new, unconventional style of learning that aligned with the vision and mission of IGLC. But they came with hearts to serve children, hearts for excellence, and most importantly, hearts for God… and they absolutely KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! 👏🏾💙💚

The academic growth our students experienced this year has been nothing short of AMAZING:

📖 Our Kindergarten class finished the year performing on a 1st–2nd grade level with:

⭐️ 98th National Percentile in Reading
⭐️ 76th National Percentile in Math
⭐️ 86th Overall National Ranking

📈 One of our 2nd grade students entered in January testing on a mid-year Kindergarten level and by May had grown an ENTIRE grade level in just ONE semester!

📕 One kindergarten student who took all of his math and reading classes with 3rd-5th graders this year, achieved a 3.4 grade equivalent on the ITBS, continuing his academic greatness!

🎓 Our two graduating 5th graders both achieved average ITBS grade equivalents of 8.4 — performing on an 8th grade, 4th month level!
Students who entered behind academically made tremendous gains.

Non-readers walked out READING. Confidence was built. Gifts were uncovered. Lives were impacted.

The mission was accomplished and GOD was glorified! 🙌🏾

At IGLC, we do not simply teach students… we intentionally cultivate greatness academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Each and every day this year, greatness was chased… intentionally. 💙💚
