When you look at this group of students, educators, and support staff, know that you are looking at GREATNESS! ✨📚🙏🏾

What an incredible inaugural year for Intentionally Great Learning Center! Words truly cannot express how proud I am of the growth, dedication, perseverance, and excellence that took place within these walls this school year.

We had teachers walk through our doors with nervousness about teaching multiple grade levels at once and embracing a new, unconventional style of learning that aligned with the vision and mission of IGLC. But they came with hearts to serve children, hearts for excellence, and most importantly, hearts for God… and they absolutely KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! 👏🏾💙💚

The academic growth our students experienced this year has been nothing short of AMAZING:

📖 Our Kindergarten class finished the year performing on a 1st–2nd grade level with:

⭐️ 98th National Percentile in Reading
⭐️ 76th National Percentile in Math
⭐️ 86th Overall National Ranking

📈 One of our 2nd grade students entered in January testing on a mid-year Kindergarten level and by May had grown an ENTIRE grade level in just ONE semester!

📕 One kindergarten student who took all of his math and reading classes with 3rd-5th graders this year, achieved a 3.4 grade equivalent on the ITBS, continuing his academic greatness!

🎓 Our two graduating 5th graders both achieved average ITBS grade equivalents of 8.4 — performing on an 8th grade, 4th month level!
Students who entered behind academically made tremendous gains.

Non-readers walked out READING. Confidence was built. Gifts were uncovered. Lives were impacted.

The mission was accomplished and GOD was glorified! 🙌🏾

At IGLC, we do not simply teach students… we intentionally cultivate greatness academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Each and every day this year, greatness was chased… intentionally. 💙💚

✨ Yesterday, our upper elementary scholars at Intentionally Great Learning Center began their poetry unit… but not in a traditional classroom setting.

Ms. Alisha took the lesson outside. 🌿☀️
Why? Because creativity thrives when students can see, feel, and experience the world around them.

As the breeze moved through the trees and the sounds of nature filled the air, our scholars weren’t just learning poetry… they were living it. They were inspired, engaged, and able to connect their words to real life in a meaningful way.

This is how learning is done at Intentionally Great Learning Center.

What makes IGLC’s instruction unique and TRULY INTENTIONAL you ask?

The staff meeting before Spring Break, the teachers were charged with utilizing every minute of the remainder of the school year to help students achieve even higher heights beyond their grade level.

At IGLC, even nap time has a purpose. 💛

While some of our PreK & Kindergarten scholars rest, our teachers are intentionally pouring into students through 1-on-1 and small group instruction—closing learning gaps, strengthening skills, and building confidence every single day.

But it doesn’t stop there…

Some of our scholars are placed in groups because they are ahead of their peers academically—and during this same time, we’re challenging them, stretching them, and helping them continue to soar. 🚀
