The club is finally happy to announce that Trail 8 has been completed. After what felt like possibly two of the longest months, we wrapped up the last few things today and plan on opening the gate tomorrow at 8am.
The club appreciates everyone who volunteered and stuck it out till the end. To all the local businesses that offered materials and equipment thank you. The landowners for not only allowing us to use your land but also being out there working on the trails with us.
This was definitely an impressive accomplishment for the club and our volunteers and now that it's over we can all get out there and ride.
A few things everyone needs to know. Our trails are 65". Gates will be tight on anything much over that our biggest concern is the bridge. Due to a large tree the rails are under 66".
Landowners are actively on a lot of this system Signs are up letting everyone know of these locations. We have residents along the BoundTree Rd section with young kids. 10 MPH with only 3 houses, keep it slow the club doesn't want any complaints.
And finally these trails are open to bikes, 4 wheelers and sxs's. Unfortunately if on a bike the trail stops at Contoocook's system. If plated you can take the road otherwise no plate turn around.
Again the club appreciates everything everyone did and we hope to see you out there soon.

A year ago yesterday we had to fix a washed out bridge and this year we had to make a trail and build two more bridge

It's official! The Hopkinton select board accepted Boundtree's request to increase our Pine St road section to 25mph.

An incredible effort today from everyone involved with our work party. We had utv's and 4 wheelers with trailers dumping wood chips all over today.
Both approaches of our new bridge and a off camber area we prepped last week are finally completed and rideable. We also did them same for the other bridge and the landowners log mat that we use. Minus signage and bridge rails this side of trail 8 is pretty much ready.
Again the club really appreciates everyone that came out and got this done.

We're looking for help this Sunday to move some woodchips. We have an off camber spot we prepped a few weeks ago and both approaches for our new bridge that needs them. If you have a trailer we'd appreciate the help so we can get our Trail 8 open soon.
