Colton & Friends Fight Cancer raised $23,979 this past Saturday! 💜

That brings the total raised for Colton and the Einstein family to $107,714. When one of our own faces the unimaginable, our community shows up. Thank you to everyone who came out, spent the evening with us, and gave to help Colton fight cancer.

An update from Andrew: “The Einstein family is exploring every possible path forward for Colton, including clinical trials out of state and out of the country. There are still many unknowns, but we remain hopeful and are doing everything we can to find the best treatment for Colton. Thank you for standing beside us through this journey. Your love and support mean more than you know.”

Colton’s fight continues, and so does our support. Donations help the family cover travel, treatment, and the unexpected costs of a cancer diagnosis. Please share this post and donate to help Colton and his family.

We’re giving our registration process an update 💙

All future Team Foster events will now live on DonorDrive. To get started, download the DonorDrive app from the App Store or Play Store and create a new account. It only takes a few minutes, and once your account is set up, you can use it to register for any of our events.

Volunteers can now register through DonorDrive too, with volunteer registration listed right below each event. Every dollar raised helps fund a service dog for a Veteran through our ADI accredited partner organizations.

Team Foster runs on partners willing to get creative with their support. Pfizer Inc. is one of the companies leading by example this year!

Here’s a closer look at what a partnership with Team Foster can include →



A team sponsorship is often where a partnership starts. Pfizer’s Ruff Ride team began the same way, with a company backing riders who wanted to compete for Veterans. That single sponsorship opened the door to everything else you’ll see in this post.

Along with donating, Pfizer’s employees also save their gifts for the company’s official Giving Day, timing them to unlock the full match. A little planning turns individual gifts into a much bigger total for Team Foster!

This kind of grant isn’t guaranteed. It comes down to whether a company’s own employees are willing to make the case for Team Foster internally. The team at Pfizer continued to do this and their voices were the reason Team Foster was chosen!

This is one of the easiest ways for a rider to add impact just by showing up. Pfizer’s team stayed on their bikes for the entire 24 hours to make the most of it. Their hours alone added real funding on top of everything else they raised.

None of this works without someone willing to talk about it internally first. Pfizer’s team uses every channel available to them, from company newsletters to a pop-up table at their office. That kind of internal push is often what turns a small team into a company-wide effort.

None of this happens without a team willing to try more than one approach. Pfizer’s team combined sponsorship, matching gifts, foundation support, and volunteer hours into one partnership. Every option in this post came from that same team choosing to keep showing up for Veterans!

Here’s your guide to the course at McMasters Open!

Your day starts at Hole 1 with World Long Drive, where you’ll tee off with Wes Patterson. Wes is the 2018 Global Infinity Series Long Drive World Champion and a 4-time World Long Drive Champion Finalist. Then take your shot for Closest to the Pin at Hole 7.

At the turn, stop by the Markley Grill for complimentary snacks. Warrior Canine Connections will be at Hole 10 with future service dogs in training. The cutest dogs from Susquehanna Service Dogs will be waiting at Hole 13. And you'll get your final dog kisses and pets on the course from America's VetDogs at Hole 18. Please note, however, that you check with each handler before interacting with any dogs on the course, since there will be some service dogs working on the course.

Also at Hole 18, you could win $10,000 if you hole-in-one! Save this post and share it with your foursome before you tee off!

Put that phone down and register for Last Person Standing! 💙

On Saturday, December 5, runners will take on a 4.2-mile loop. Each lap has to be finished within one hour to make the next start. The race keeps going, hour after hour, until only one runner is left standing.

Every mile you run helps place an accredited service dog with an injured or disabled Veteran at no cost to them. Whether you’re chasing the win or setting a personal goal, we’d love to have you out there.

A final fundraising update from Ruff Ride PGH!

This year, teams took on 24 hours of spin relay at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, logging more miles than ever to raise funds for Veterans and their future service dogs. Every mile represented a commitment to the Veterans this community serves. Thank you to PNC, our presenting sponsor, and to every rider, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made this event possible.

We’ve passed our fundraising goal with Ruff Ride PGH this year, making it the biggest year for us in terms of fundraising and turnout! Over 24 hours at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, you rode 5,971.38 miles and burned 397,841 calories. Together, we surpassed our goal of $125,000, making this our biggest year yet in both fundraising and turnout. Congrats to Michael Baker Wolf Pack for topping our Ruffest Teams list, and to Katelyn Modolo for leading the way in funds raised!

Relive 24 hours of Ruff Ride PGH 🐾

From the first hour on Saturday morning to the last one on Sunday, this is what showing up for Veterans looks like. The bikes never stopped moving at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, and neither did our community. Together, we’ve raised $129,818 for service dogs for Veterans, surpassing our $125,000 goal!

A huge thank you to pncbank , our presenting sponsor, and to all of our sponsors for helping make this event possible. To our volunteers, thank you for giving your time and energy to keep every shift running. And to everyone behind the scenes who worked all 24 hours to keep the event alive, Ruff Ride PGH exists because of you.

Fundraising is still open until this Friday, October 9, so there’s still time to give. Every dollar helps place an accredited service dog with an injured or disabled Veteran at no cost to them.

Pittsburgh, you showed up and showed out!!

Ruff Ride Pittsburgh 2026 was 24 hours full of purpose, community, and support for Veterans and service dogs. Teams rotated riders around the clock at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, and together we raised $129,709 to help place accredited service dogs with injured and disabled Veterans. Every mile, every moment, and every person who joined made a real impact!
