This summer's drought is affecting all of us. So who better to turn to than the experts at Chamber member Keesen Landscape. They will be sharing valuable insights on drought-tolerant turf and how smart landscape choices can make a lasting impact. Not just for our clients but for our communities and the environment as a whole. So whether you are property managers, HOAs, and commercial teams or just a homeowner looking to stay ahead of their landscape this Lunch & Learn is for you! This event is built to be practical and relevant - covering topics like water management, plant health, seasonal planning, and common issues we’re seeing across Colorado properties. We’ll bring the lunch - just bring your questions. Bring a friend and RSVP at https://4cchamber.com/events so we can save you a seat around the table!

Thank you to everyone who came out last weekend for the Colorado Battery Take Back event at Fire Station 28. We collected 1,167 pounds of household batteries, including button cell from watches, hearing aids and small electronics; Single Use AA, AAA, 9 Volt, C and D; and, removable rechargeable including lithium-ion and nickel-cadmium (NiCad) batteries from electronics such as toothbrushes, shaving razors, drones, laptops, cameras, phones and power tools. Every year waste management companies spend over $2.5 million year putting out fires because of batteries thrown away in the trash. With State Senate Bill 163 passing this year, residents will be seeing more battery take back events throughout the state. Remember to always tape the ends of your batteries with clear tape before disposing. Make a plan of where to drop off your batteries, especially since different batteries require different disposal options. To find a drop off location near you go to https://locator.batterynetwork.org/

Did someone say pancakes? The Commerce City Chamber was there as Chamber member South Adams County Fire Department held a Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station 22 last Saturday complete with pancakes, sausage, bacon, orange juice and coffee. Families were able to visit with firefighters, take a tour and check out the fire trucks and their equipment. Thanks SACFD for your service to our community and for your generosity to give back to our community. It was an awesome turnout and the pancakes were delicious!!!
