INSPIRE is a grassroots non-profit founded by Jesse Ramirez. As a First Generation College graduate himself he knows the power a higher education had on his own life and the greater impact a college education can have on the larger community. We strive for cross-generational impact in breaking the cycles of oppression in our families, schools and communities. We believe empowered Youth have the ability to construct innovative solutions and generate hope for an equitable future. Vision:

The vision of INSPIRE is built upon the 5 core principles of LOVE, LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY, POSSIBILITIES, and SOCIAL CHANGE working in unison to empower our Youth as Social Change Agents.

INSPiRE Colorado: At INSPiRE we are working to flip the script on the Colorado Paradox. Although Colorado is a highly educated state, many of the those who hold college degrees are transplants from other states. We are working to inspire students from our state to pursue degrees to fill the high paying jobs in our state, so employers do not have to important talent, when we have all the talent we need right here in Colorado. INSPiRE Leadership: Our Change Agent Activists were recognized for create systemic change in their schools, families and communities! Of our students Camilla Diaz who graduated from Vantage Point High School and is currently about to enter her second year at MSU Denver was on hand to accept the award. She shared the impact INSPiRE has had on her life and educational journey and how now she has the same ability to impact other students like her. This summer she served as one of our Junior Dream Directors, where she mentors a team of trailblazers who are charged with providing a life change experience to our new cohort of Change Agent Activists! Mil gracias to The Committee for Peace, Justice, and Liberation for La Gente. for recognizing our students with this award! ✊🏼💜

INSPiRE Social Change: Today we honor the United States of America on 250 years. Our duty in our representative democracy is to hold our elected officials accountable to promote the ideals of freedom and liberty for our citizens, and for humanity around the world. The founders realized the idea of America was promising, and the foundation they set wasn’t perfect, but they also had a belief in the optimism of future generations, that they would also rise to the challenge of making our Nation a more perfect union. As Dr. King said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” As citizens we must rise up to eradicate hate from our society, and the only thing capable to defeating hate in love. ✊🏼💜

INSPiRE Love: Today we honor and Celebrate our country’s newest Federal Holiday, Juneteenth. This day holds a historical and cultural significance in our country. President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, which ended slavery yet it took two and a half years for this news to arrive to the state of Texas on June 19, 1865. This holiday is a celebration of freedom, and a call to action to continue the ongoing struggle for fight of equality, and the fight for social justice. Although the chains of slavery were broken, the roots of those chains still manifest themselves through racism and oppression and they still run deep across our country. There is much more freedom to be won! ✊🏼💜
