Buddy Box Connection, also known as Family Mentor Foundation,
is Bridging the Weekend Hunger Gap for Children. What happens when they’re not in school?

Have you ever wondered about the children who get their best meals in the school cafeteria? OUR PROGRAM:

BUDDY BOXES

Each Friday during the school year, Family Mentor Foundation’s goal is to get a Buddy Box, bursting with nutritious food, into the hands of local children who qualify for their school’s free, or reduced lunch. This box is filled with kid-friendly, nutritious, nonperishable, and in

dividual sized foods. Easy-to-prepare meals and snacks that will help sustain the children when schools aren’t able to help over a weekend. To qualify for this program your school needs to be in partnership with Family Mentor Foundation and be able to help organize and distribute our Buddy Boxes. LEARN MORE:

Celebrate a fantastic school year with a sweet treat from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams (Clintonville)! Stop by their location at 4247 N. High St. today between 4–7 PM and enjoy some delicious ice cream with family and friends.

Even better, 25% of all sales during that time will be donated to support our Buddy Box Program. It’s a fun and easy way to celebrate while helping students right here in our community!

Shout-out to our exceptional volunteer, Lance Hudnell!

Lance is always ready to lend a hand — whether it’s delivering Buddy Boxes or picking up food to help stock our warehouse. This school year alone, Lance volunteered 52 hours and helped deliver an incredible 28,876 meals to hungry children in our program!

Thank you Lance, for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to our Buddy Box Program!

510 Buddy Boxes packed in one night? That’s what happens when the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club members roll up their sleeves and get to work!

Turning a birthday into something truly impactful!

In honor of her birthday, Sara Grieshop rallied her friends and family to support our Buddy Box program — and the results were incredible! Sara and her husband delivered an amazing 1,642 applesauce containers plus over $250 in donations to help feed local children on the weekend.

We’re so grateful for volunteers like Sara who turn celebrations into acts of kindness and generosity. Thank you Sara and Happy Birthday!

Thank you to this energetic crew from Cleverley + Associates for packing 522 double Buddy Boxes yesterday for the end of the school year!

And this isn’t a one-time effort. Since 2022, this team of volunteers has packed over 4,100 Buddy Boxes, delivering a staggering 16,400 weekend meals to kids who need them most.

Way to go!
