F3's mission is to inspire, engage, and educate through soccer-based youth-focused programs and events.

The Foundation strives to promote health, wellness, achievement, leadership and character development, both on and off the field.

Some days the classroom moves outside. ☀️

There haven’t been many opportunities to take our after-school programs outdoors lately, but when the weather allows, we bring both the classroom and the game with us.

Books in hand, teammates/classmates beside them, and learning happening everywhere.

Our snack is cottage cheese, h**p seeds and blueberries. This week our students learn about fat, an important macronutrient, that provides long term energy and supports our brain, skin, and cells! Can you spot a great source of fat in this snack?”

At one of our school sites, we noticed something important - girls weren’t signing up for our after-school program.

So instead of accepting that, we listened.

We partnered with the principal to launch a girls-only soccer & literacy program - creating a space where they could feel confident, supported, and seen.

The result?
Smiles. Confidence. Teamwork.

So far, 8–9 girls are showing up consistently - holding their books proudly, building skills on the field, and growing together.

Sometimes access isn’t about offering a program.
It’s about creating the right environment for children to step into it.

We have a team that understands this isn’t about one person - it’s about the whole group moving in the same direction.

We’ve had an incredible start working with Whitehall City Schools.

Our After-School Soccer & Literacy program at Beechwood Elementary has been such a treat for our Program Managers. The students are fully engaged - reading with confidence, supporting one another, and bringing the same focus to the ball at their feet as they do to the books in their hands.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and excited to keep building together.

On this MLK Day, we’re reminded that progress is not automatic - it requires courage, community, and commitment.

F3 is excited to launch our Nutrition Program as a new addition to several of our afterschool Soccer and Literacy Programs! With the guidance of our amazing team, students are learning how nutritious foods can fuel their learning and play. This week, students enjoyed dried cherries, sweet peppers and pumpkin seeds. It was such a great experience!

Our very own Pathways Park was recently featured by Ohio State University’s Environmental Professionals Network for the contributions the landscape is making to our central Ohio community beyond the game of soccer. Our Director of Environmental Awareness, Max Rosenthal, spoke about our environmental initiatives and landscape management at Pathways Park, highlighting the key role community collaboration has played in the ex*****on of our vision.

Max spoke at the EPN Signature Winter Event - Planting the Pathway: Connecting Pollinator Habitat through Community Collaboration alongside Columbus City Councilman Christopher L Wyche, Dr. Karen Goodell, and Dr. Terry Hermsen, who all shared the incredible work they are doing in contribution to pollinator pathways in our community.

Understanding the Power of Sport

Final Third Foundation’s Team understands the power of sport and how it can make a positive impact on a child and an entire community. In May 2011, our Co-Founder and Executive Director, Benjamin Levey, founded the Likoni Community Football League (LCFL). There, in one of the poorest areas of Mombasa, Kenya, Levey worked with local coaches to form an organization that supports hundreds of children each year through the power of the game. Since 2011, while overseeing the LCFL from abroad, Levey brought his passion for sport and development back home to Columbus, Ohio. He has founded, managed and operated several sports and development nonprofit organizations, events and programs, including Columbus East FC, Columbus Nations Cup, and F3 Soccer & Literacy Programming. Levey is also Director of Columbus East Soccer Association. Levey and the F3 Team hope to develop and expand on its current programs, events and projects to increase the number of children and communities they can positively impact in Columbus, Ohio, Mombasa, Kenya and other areas of the world.
