Our Mission- Empower underserved kids through music education, therapy & performance opportunities.

CityMusic Columbus is a 33 year old not-for-profit arts organization that has long had a two-fold mission of creating unique live music events and providing music outreach to at-risk youth in Columbus, Ohio. Moving forward, we are shifting away from presenting and focusing on growing our partnerships with a variety of social service and arts organizations to provide music-making and music-educational opportunities to at-risk children in Columbus

Our Music Learning for Life program provides a unique blend of music education and therapeutic support through personalized guitar instruction. Designed for individuals of all ages and skill levels, this program uses guitar lessons as a tool for emotional expression, personal growth, and skill development. Led by a trained therapeutic musician, the program combines traditional guitar teaching with therapeutic techniques to create a holistic and supportive learning experience to create a holistic and supportive learning experience. 🎸
