For the last 6 months, our TLM Ambassadors have been building something powerful…community, confidence, and connection as thick dancers. Now it’s time to celebrate everything they’ve created together.

Join us for “Into Focus: A TLM Ambassador Showcase” 🎬 a virtual gallery event honoring the growth and artistry built through the Ambassador Program.

This program was never just about the 6 months. It was about building peer support networks rooted in care and sparking creative collaboration. The formal program may be wrapping up, but the Thick Like Me family is just getting started. đź’ś

At Thick Like Me, we believe body liberation is built through community, care, and opportunity—and none of this work happens alone.

Annyssa Parker is a dancer, choreographer, and emerging scholar whose work bridges performance, screendance, and research. Her artistic - scholarly practice centers on Afro-diasporic movement, cultural memory, and the lived body.

As part of our Ambassador Program, Annyssa is helping us uplift thick dancers nationwide, build real connections, and celebrate the beauty of movement in
every body.

Renee Boudreaux (Aspen) - Aspen is a dedicated pole dancer and burlesque artist based in Columbus, Ohio with over 9 years of experience. As a dedicated instructor, Aspen is known for her empowering and affirming teaching style, guiding students to reconnect with their bodies, embrace their sensuality, and move with unapologetic confidence. She is deeply committed to cultivating inclusive, supportive spaces where individuals of all backgrounds can explore both their strength and softness.
