You’re invited to join us for Building Safe Green Schools Together: Roundtable, an important conversation about the future of sustainability in our schools.
Columbus City Schools has officially passed the Safe Green Schools policy and is preparing to launch its first solar energy project. At a time of continued state budget cuts and rising energy costs, this initiative will save money that can be redirected to classrooms while strengthening the district’s resilience in the face of a changing climate.
This roundtable will feature:
Parents and students who led this effort
School Board Vice President Sarah Ingles, who championed the policy
State Senator Bill DeMora, who successfully advocated for sustainability funding for Ohio schools
Additional special guests to be announced
During the conversation, you’ll learn:
