Congratulations on this amazing achivement!
Ileana joined Proyecto Mariposas as a volunteer few years ago. She has participated as a Summer Camp Leader, In-School Facilitator and re-designed our Day of the Girl messaging. Her dissertation research: Son Mis Raices is a beautiful representation of Latina Young Women that are part of Proyecto Mariposas and our community.

We are so proud of you and excited to follow along your journey! Felicidades... You did it!!

Congratulations to ! Her Senior Capstone Project was titled: Women of Color and Leadership. Ariam interviewed a group of women on four questions that were intentional and very thoughtful. When we come together to share our history and plan our future amazing things can happen. Good Luck Ariam on your next chapter!

Sadly our In-School Sessions are over! We had so much fun this year with all the students, teachers, advocates and facilitators. Thank you to everyone that became part of Proyecto Mariposas this year. We hope to see you soon. We are able to do this work with support of an entire community. See you next year!

Thank you and for donating materials and packing period bags for schools and community. Together, the James Hospital Nursing Leadership assembled approximately 300 period care kits!! Every packet has a handwritten note full of care and love.

Today was a great day to bring the MariposaMovil out to a school and do art! Thank you Sandra/Global and for inviting us to celebrate honor students! It was super fun! Thank you for hanging out with us! 🦋

Abbie Baxter partnered with on her research class: Honors Spanish Research after completing her Spanish in Ohio class volunteering in schools and the community. Her research is on Service Learning and Spanish. Abbie also took on the job to begin organizing our archive for future access (the legacy project). Thank you for presenting your research, for spending time with us and for caring for our community. Abbie works at and learning about our community will help her in her future focused on health. As a project she also wrote a piece for ONDA LATINX OHIO.
