For the past two days, her child has been part of Kids Corner, and today she shares her experience with us.

As summer begins and school is out, many families are looking for safe, welcoming places where their children can spend time, learn, play, and build friendships. Kids Corner was created to be one of those spaces for our community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve families each day and provide a place where children can have fun, be cared for, and enjoy a positive environment while receiving a nutritious lunch. Hearing stories like hers reminds us why this work matters and encourages us to keep showing up for our neighbors.

This summer, we’ve been working on creating a dedicated Kids Corner for the families in our community. With school out and more children joining us during our lunch program, we saw an opportunity to create a space where kids can play, be creative, and simply enjoy being kids.

What started as an idea has slowly come together through the work of our staff, volunteers, and supporters. From books and games to crafts and activities, every detail has been added with the hope of making families feel welcomed and cared for.

We believe ministry happens in both the big and small moments. Sometimes it’s through a meal, a conversation, or a simple space where a child can laugh, play, and feel at home. We’re grateful to continue finding new ways to serve our community and show the love of Christ to every person who walks through our doors. 💛☀️👧👦🎨

For the past month, we’ve been blessed to provide free haircuts to members of our community thanks to your incredible support. ❤️

As we continue growing this ministry, we’re working toward adding a hair washing station, purchasing more haircut supplies, and expanding the services we can offer to those in need.

Thank you for helping us restore dignity, confidence, and care—one haircut at a time. Every donation, volunteer hour, and act of support makes a difference.

We had an amazing time at our monthly block party, filled with laughter, connection, and neighbors coming together despite the rain. ☔✨

No matter the weather, community keeps showing up for one another. That’s the heart of Stowe Mission.
