Now, we’re believing God for our next chapter. 🙏🏽✨

🚐 WE NEED OUR FIRST OUTREACH VEHICLE!

Our goal is to raise $40,000 to purchase a reliable outreach vehicle that will help us serve families across Ohio and Georgia, including communities along the I-75 corridor.

With our outreach vehicle, we’ll be able to:

🍼 Deliver diapers, wipes & baby essentials
🥫 Transport food & donated supplies
🏠 Meet families where they are
🤝 Attend community outreach events
📦 Pick up and deliver donations
💜 Expand our ability to show up for families who need us most

📢 THE NUMBERS ARE GOING DOWN, BUT THE NEED HAS NOT DISAPPEARED!

Let’s celebrate the progress while continuing to fight for the mothers who still need us! 💜💛

The teen birth rate in America has dropped dramatically over the past several decades. That is progress worth acknowledging! 🙌🏾

📉 Look at the decline:

* 1990: 60 births per 1,000
* 2000: 48 births per 1,000
* 2010: 34 births per 1,000
* 2020: 15 births per 1,000

We should celebrate prevention, education, and every effort helping young people make informed decisions about their futures.

BUT HERE IS THE CONVERSATION WE CANNOT AFFORD TO STOP HAVING!

What happens to the young mothers who have already given birth?

What happens when a teenage mother needs safe, affordable housing?

Where does she go when she needs childcare so she can finish school, pursue higher education, or secure employment?

Who helps her navigate public assistance, mental health services, transportation, parenting support, and workforce development?

And what happens when she has nowhere to turn?

WE CANNOT JUST CELEBRATE FEWER TEEN PREGNANCIES WHILE IGNORING THE MOTHERS WHO ARE ALREADY RAISING CHILDREN!

These young women still need support. Their children still need stability. Their families still need resources. And their futures still matter!

As the Founder and CEO of Mothers Helping Mothers Inc., I believe we must do both: continue preventing teen pregnancies AND strengthen the support systems available to young mothers who are already parenting.

We need more than statistics. We need solutions!

🏠 More affordable and transitional housing.
👶🏾 More accessible, affordable childcare.
🎓 More opportunities to finish school and pursue education.
💼 More workforce development and pathways to financial independence.
💜 More mentoring, mental health support, and community partnerships.
🤝🏾 More organizations willing to meet families where they are—not where we think they should be.

A young mother should not have to choose between keeping a roof over her child’s head and building a better future for her family.

THE GOAL IS NOT JUST TO REDUCE TEEN PREGNANCIES. THE GOAL IS TO HELP YOUNG MOTHERS AND THEIR CHILDREN THRIVE!

Let’s celebrate the progress. Let’s acknowledge the work that remains. And let’s make sure no young mother feels forgotten simply because the statistics are improving.

🚨 THIS IS WHY EVICTIONS NO MORE IS NEEDED.

I want you to really look at this number.

Approximately 144,000 eviction filings in Metro Atlanta.

Not across the entire country.

Right here in our own backyard.

And behind every filing is a real situation.

A mother.
A father.
A veteran.
A senior.
A family.
Someone whose income changed.
Someone who fell behind.
Someone who may have received paperwork and had absolutely NO IDEA what to do next.

And here's something else we have to understand:

An eviction filing doesn't always mean someone ultimately loses their home.

Sometimes there is still an opportunity to respond, seek assistance, understand available options, connect with resources or develop a plan.

But people can't take advantage of resources they don't know exist.

And THAT is one of the reasons I created Evictions No More.

🏠 Not simply to talk about eviction.

🏠 Not simply to give somebody a list of apartments.

🏠 Not simply to hand someone another list of phone numbers and wish them luck.

I want to help people understand where they are, identify what is standing between them and stable housing, connect them with resources, and create an actionable path forward.

Because the housing crisis doesn't end when someone leaves the courtroom.

What happens when they need another apartment?

What happens when the eviction filing follows them?

What happens when there's a past-due landlord balance?

What happens when their credit has taken a hit?

What happens when they keep paying application fees and STILL can't get approved?

Those questions matter too.

This article isn't just another headline to me.

It's confirmation that the work is necessary.

And while Evictions No More won't solve a housing crisis this large by itself, we're building something designed to help people navigate it differently.

Something is coming.

🙏🏽🚐 WE’RE BELIEVING GOD FOR THE VAN!

At Mothers Helping Mothers Inc., we are praying, believing, and preparing for the next level of our assignment!

For nearly 20 years, we have been committed to empowering mothers, strengthening families, and changing generations. We have shown up for mothers, babies, and families in need, and now we are believing God for the transportation we need to go even further.

💗 We are believing God for a Sprinter van!

This is bigger than a vehicle. It is a tool for ministry, outreach, and community impact. It will help us transport diapers, wipes, food, and essential supplies; reach families in underserved communities; attend outreach events; and serve mothers and children across Ohio and Georgia.

We are not just praying for a van. We are praying for increased capacity to serve more families.

The Bible says in Mark 11:24, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

So we are standing in faith, trusting God to make a way, and inviting our community to stand in agreement with us!
