What an incredible few days! 💜

We had the pleasure of attending the first-ever WIPA National Conference, where we spent a few unforgettable days connecting with some truly amazing people in the wedding and events industry, sharing the mission of Wish Upon a Wedding, and raising money to help grant more Wishes.

Kate & Company put together an absolutely stunning, beautifully curated evening event — and honestly, the photos speak for themselves! Every detail was incredible.

But what made the experience even more meaningful was the generosity of the WIPA community. Together, $13,000 was raised for Wish Upon a Wedding!

That $13,000 will directly support our mission of granting weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and life-altering health circumstances, giving them a day centered around love, joy, and unforgettable memories.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued partnership and support of WIPA National and all of its chapters. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our mission, for welcoming us into your community, and for coming together in such a BIG way to help us grant more Wishes.

Some love stories remind us why we do this work.

Amber and Michael came to us in 2024 with one wish: to celebrate their love, surrounded by the people and beauty that made life worth fighting for. What happened at The Star Barn that day was more than a vow renewal. It was a full, joyful, beautiful day that belonged entirely to them.

Michael passed away recently, and we are holding Amber and their family close in our hearts.

We are so grateful we got to be there. Grateful for every vendor who gave their time and talent to make it something special. Grateful for the laughter, the music, the flowers, and the vows spoken out loud one more time.

Thank you for trusting us with something so sacred. Michael's love for you was written all over that day, and that will never fade.

Life is full of storms. Jaime and Kenneth have lived through more than most.

She was 33 years old, postpartum, and about to face a battle none of them could have imagined.

They met on New Year's Eve, married at a courthouse before Kenneth deployed, and built an entire life on a foundation of love and determination. Six children. Military deployments. Careers built from the ground up. The kind of family that figures it out together, no matter what.

When Jaime's cancer diagnosis came, and later returned as radiation-induced angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer with almost no established treatment options, they kept going. Kenneth became her constant. She kept coaching. They kept raising their six kids, mostly on their own, without losing sight of what mattered most.

When we asked what they wished for, the answer was simple: to celebrate nearly 20 years of marriage surrounded by the six children who have been part of every chapter.

And that's exactly what this day was.

A vow renewal day filled with joy, love, and memories their whole family will carry forever. Because after every storm, there is a rainbow. And this family has earned theirs. 💛

We are so grateful to every wish granter who helped make this moment possible.

Brittany and James met in high school, where a friendship turned into something neither of them could ignore. At just 16, Brittany convinced her mom to sign a marriage license so they could get married. They said "I do" in a courthouse ceremony and got to work building a life together. Three kids, a home in Oregon, and a whole lot of time spent hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting.

In 2019, Brittany started having stomach issues that wouldn't go away. A colonoscopy revealed it was colon cancer. The family moved back to Nebraska for treatment, and when the cancer kept progressing, they decided to return to Oregon, the place that had always felt most like home. Brittany's cancer has since metastasized and continues to spread.

When we met them, what they wanted most was to renew the vows they made as teenagers, this time with their kids standing right there beside them.

A heartfelt thank you to every Wish Granter who made this day happen. Your generosity gave this family something they will carry with them always.

Twenty years ago, Joanna and Tyrone found each other while serving in the military. Deployed to Iraq together for 15 months, a close friendship quietly turned into something more. When they came home, they got married, started a family, and built a life together.

Right as they were approaching their 20th anniversary, Joanna was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. Treatment was grueling, and the road ahead looked nothing like what they had imagined. But one thing stayed constant: they wanted to renew their vows, and Joanna wanted her dad to walk her down the aisle.

That wish became ours to grant.

Led by our own Megan Biehl, an incredible team of wish granters put their whole hearts into making this day everything it deserved to be. Joanna walked down the aisle on her father's arm, toward the man she has loved for more than two decades, surrounded by family, friends, and so much love.

Joanna and Tyrone, we are so honored to have been part of your story. Here's to your love, your strength, and every moment still ahead.
