An Ohio Construction Crew Rescued a Kitten From an Excavator and Made Her Shop Cat

The cries came from the machine. A construction crew in Ohio heard soft mewing deep inside their excavator, and after carefully searching the equipment they found a tiny orange kitten trapped beneath the heavy machinery. They gently freed her, cleaned her up, and decided right then that she wasn't going anywhere.

She's officially the company's shop cat. The workers have fully embraced their new teammate, with one photo showing the little one in a miniature yellow hard hat and high-visibility vest, held proudly by one of the guys while the rest of the crew grins beside him. Another shot has her at home beside a set of excavators.

The construction life clearly suits her already. She went from a frightening spot under heavy machinery to beloved site mascot in a matter of hours, kitted out in her own tiny gear beside the crew. Sometimes the best find on a job isn't a tool or a material at all, but the one with four paws and, by every sign here, a very big attitude.
