How are we actually practicing inclusivity in our lives and organizations?

Not the buzzword version. Not the performative social media version. Real inclusivity.

Are people actually safe around us?
Do people feel welcomed without having to shrink themselves or change who they are?
Are we listening to people with lived experience or just talking over them?
Are we making room for people society pushes out and ignores?

Inclusivity is more than hanging a flag up once a year or posting a statement. It’s how we treat people every single day especially the people who are judged the most.

At SOAR we believe people deserve dignity and respect exactly as they are. No one should have to “earn” compassion, humanity, or access to care.

We think a lot of organizations need to sit with the question of whether they are truly inclusive or whether they just like the idea of being seen that way.

So let’s have the conversation.
