Pupdate! 🐶

Grey (nka Duncan) is officially adopted, adored by his family, and so spoiled! 💙

Duncan is one lucky pup! He has human siblings and fur siblings who constantly entertain him. Myrna (the cutest little scruffy ACD mix) and Duncan are besties! Ellie (the distinguished hound lady of the house) even allows him to snuggle and play, even if she does not know it is happening! 😂

Gorgeous Grenadine is still looking for her forever home.

This lovely lady is older, probably between 5-7 years and overall pretty low energy. Her ideal people would spend a lot of time in the yard hanging out with her while she sunbathes and keeps them safe from squirrels and chipmunks.

We’re searching for the perfect forever home for Brock, our 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). He’s a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly intelligent boy with a ton of energy and potential. We love him dearly, and we know he’ll thrive in a more active home that can give him the structure, space, and attention he deserves!

Would do best in:

An active, patient home – ideally with experience in herding breeds or high-energy dogs

A large, securely fenced yard or open space where he can run and burn energy

A home where he’ll get plenty of daily physical and mental stimulation

A calmer environment – likely best without small children, although he does great with our two kids and their friends.

A female-led or dog-savvy household, as he’s extremely nervous around men

Temperament: Sweet, sensitive, and eager to please

Energy Level: High – he loves to run, play, and stay engaged

Personality: Timid and anxious around men — he takes time to warm up and needs a patient, understanding approach

Very affectionate and loyal once he feels safe

Smart, alert, and deeply bonded to his people.

Medley has been returned to her dad. 6/18/26

This very old girl was found injured on 95 near the church this morning. She is in good hands here at the shelter and our team has started medical treatment. She wasn't wearing any identification and isn't microchipped. If you know who this sweet girl may belong to, please reach out.

UPDATE: Bingo has found a new home! Thankful for this community sharing and helping him find his way ❤️

📍 Located in Huber Heights, OH Meet Bingo, a 7-year-old Red Heeler with a sweet personality and a heart full of love. He is a loyal, affectionate companion who enjoys being around people, getting pets and attention, and spending time with his family.

While he enjoys daily walks and outdoor time, he is also happy to relax and hang out at home. Bingo knows basic commands such as "sit" and "spin," is eager to please, and responds well to guidance. He is potty trained, has good house manners, and can be left alone without issue. He is leash trained and walks reasonably well, although he may pull at times and could benefit from a little additional leash work.

One of Bingo's best qualities is how social he is. He gets along well with children, strangers, and other dogs. He does not need to be an only dog and would likely enjoy having canine companions. He is also totally fine with cats. He is not currently crate trained because he has never needed to be, but he would likely adapt well if desired. As a Heeler, Bingo would do best with a family that can provide regular exercise, companionship, and engagement. He enjoys being part of the action and thrives when included in family life. The only challenge to note is that grooming is not his favorite activity, though he tolerates it when necessary.

Bingo is being rehomed due to family circumstances, not because of any behavioral concerns. His current owner is no longer able to meet his needs due to age-related challenges, and we want to find him a loving home where he can continue to thrive. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and vet care.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who came out to the 11th Annual Cattle Dog Campout Picnic or supported us from afar. We had an ✨AWESOME✨ day celebrating our favorite breed and raising funds to support homeless ACDs ❤️

Our mission is to pull cattle dogs from Ohio shelters and get them into foster homes where they can decompress, get updated on vet care, and work on finding their forever homes. We also have a Fix-It Fund to provide financial assistance to owned ACDs in Ohio to help curb the population of dogs in shelters.

With your support, we raised over $1,900 to put towards those goals ‼️ We could not do what we do without you and we appreciate your support💙💙

A special thanks to our volunteers and foster homes for showing up early, staying late, and making sure everything ran smoothly, some of them with foster dogs in tow: Chad Sydorowicz, Julie Marie, Kristen, Emily, Ginger Southwood, Carly, Brad Moore, Andrew and Courtney Fraley, Spencer Valentine, Barbara Jourden, Darwin Adams, Marla Adams Phr , Cow Dawg Outdoors LLC, Bernadette Armbruster, and Dakota Loren.
