Ive been so busy the last few days I forgot to share that our Earth Day event was a success! This was my first event put together in last than 2 weeks. I funded it out of my own pocket because the sponsors fell through and I'm so proud of myself. The kids that participated had such a good time and were excited to plant and to forage and to learn about what's growing around them. The parents were just as excited in planting and learning about "weeds" growing around them that they can use for their family. We gave away free strawberry plants as promised. The kiddos ate all the snacks and I was worried that I bought too much lol. And of course I taught the kids about not littering (my biggest pet peeve) and told them what can be thrown on the ground (compost) and what can't. I can't wait to plan and do more for the community, especially the children because It Takes a Village 😊

Being a parent takes INTENTION. Though there is no handbook, we also can't just wing it. When it comes to children, we have to be the person that we needed when we were a child. That is the approach I took with raising my daughters: I was the person that I didn't have. It means admitting when you're wrong. Learning from them just as much as they learn from you. Being patient. Removing pride and ego and replacing it with grace and inner standing. And this is not just limited to the children we birth. This mindset has to extend to the community. Does your little one need a spring wardrobe refresh? 🌷

We know how fast kids grow (and how quickly the seasons change!). At Impact Church, we want to help take that weight off your shoulders. We aren't just handing out bags of old clothes—we are putting together personalized, gently used outfits specifically for your children in the sizes they need right now.

It’s simple, it’s private, and it’s our way of showing our local families some extra love this season.

Deadline is quickly approaching!!!

🗓 Deadline to sign up EXTENDED: Friday, April 17th.
📍 Who: Families in Reynoldsburg, Etna, and Pataskala.

Email [email protected] for the link to the application! Please provide the applicant name in the email request!

Tag a friend who might need this or share this post—let’s make sure no child goes without the gear they need for the warmer weather!
