Words cannot express how grateful we are to our friends and partners at Honesty for Ohio Education! Honesty has been torchbearer for education justice in Ohio since 2021! Through the pandemic, administration changes, and so much more, Honesty has held steadfast to their mission to ensure that EVERY student in Ohio has the freedom to learn and grow in a welcoming, supportive environment.

We thank our comrades across the state for the acknowledgement of the role that CEJC has played in that same mission and our fight for equity & justice in Columbus City Schools by awarding us the Community Impact Award.
We're also very grateful for seeing and supporting the personal work of our lead organizer, Izetta Thomas Izetta Thomas , by awarding her with the Honesty Champion Award.

None of us do this work for the recognition, the shiny plaques, or our names in lights. We do it because it needs to be done. We do it because if we don't, we're creating a future where oppression is normal and justice is but a dream of the past.

We promise to stay committed to the work, regardless of who is watching.
