The Just Like You Global Foundation is honored and deeply grateful to receive the Redvocate Award.

As the Founder & Executive Director of Just Like You Global Foundation, this recognition is bigger than me. It represents every underserved and internally displaced young girl in Cameroon whose dignity, confidence, and health matter.

Through our pad distribution initiative, we are not simply providing menstrual products, we are restoring dignity, breaking stigma, and reminding young girls that they are seen, valued, and worthy of care.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this mission with compassion, advocacy, and action. The work continues, and so does the impact. ❤️

Thank you to Welisane Foundation for the opportunity to partner and the recognition. Many thanks to our JLU team for your dedication and hard work. Thanks to Ngalanji Florence Nanga for representing JLU in Cameroon.
We are committed to lifetime of partnership with Welisane Foundation.

Today, we’re opening up a conversation that many communities have whispered about for far too long. As we recognize Menstrual Hygiene Day, we are creating space for honest dialogue, education, and empowerment around menstrual health, especially for young girls and women across communities.

In many African countries, menstruation is still surrounded by silence, stigma, shame, and cultural taboos. Some girls are taught not to discuss their periods openly, while others miss school because they lack access to sanitary products or safe support systems. Myths, misinformation, and deeply rooted traditions continue to impact confidence, education, and health outcomes for millions of girls.

Today’s discussion is about breaking barriers, restoring dignity, and reminding every girl that her period is not a limitation; it is a part of life, strength, and womanhood. Change begins with conversation, and conversation begins with courage.
