Yesterday was special. 🌱💚

I had the chance to speak to families in my own community about the power of youth voice, serving others, and how something as simple as growing produce can help build healthier families and stronger communities.💚

A special thank you to Ms. Colson, Director of School Improvement and Family Services ,for attending and supporting this experience. It meant so much to see her and the families excited to receive seeds to grow in their own home gardens.

That is what this work is really about….planting more than seeds. It is about planting hope, confidence, curiosity, and the belief that families can grow something good together.💚

Thank you to for donating the seeds and helping make this moment possible.

One seed can start a garden.
One story can inspire a family.

Yesterday, I had the honor of participating in the Columbus Green Teen Alliance Earth Day Event. 🌎🌱

I shared my story with the Teen Corps and Platform students…not just about growing mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 or starting a business, but about how one small seed of curiosity can grow into purpose, service, and community impact🌱

Being surrounded by young people who care about the planet 🌍 , food justice 👊🏾, and the future reminded me why this work matters.

Through , we are helping youth learn how to grow food, protect the environment, build leadership skills, and imagine themselves as part of the solution.

When you support this work, you are not just donating to a program, you are investing in the next generation of growers, leaders, and changemakers.

I’m honored to be featured in the Scholastic Science World Special Earth Day Issue! 🌍💚🌱

What started as a simple interest in growing mushrooms has turned into a bigger mission. I love helping kids learn where food comes from, encouraging healthy eating, and showing young people that they can make a difference in their communities💚

To me, Earth Day is about more than one day. It’s about learning how to care for the planet, grow food, reduce waste, and protect the future we all share🫶🏾💚🫶🏾

I hope my story reminds other kids that their ideas matter. A garden, a mushroom kit, or even one seed can be the beginning of something powerful. 🌱

Dropped off some trash pickers for our preschoolers as they kick off their beautification project 🌎💚

After a quick demo, they got the hang of it fast! Never too early to teach kids to care for their community.

Last year, I had the opportunity to help host an amazing Earth Day Learning Fair with Kendall Rae Johnson 🌎🌱

We planted herbs, learned about the planet, and brought the community together…especially young people ready to make a difference💚🌱

Earth Day isn’t just one day… it’s a reminder that we all have a role to play.
Plant something. Grow something. Give back🪴
