We found strength in Lizzy’s gentle spirit, and we wanted to share this strength with you. Our book, which shares the same name as this foundation, is a result of this effort!

Childhood cancer affects the entire family, and one of our missions is to help support families during their child’s battle.

Our family remembers the difficulty of managing both the emotional and financial toll of childhood cancer, which is why a portion of the donations this foundation receives will always go towards alleviating these burdens.

If you’re new here, you might not know the significance behind the origami crane that appears in our logo.

The inspiration came from Lizzy’s fourth grade class, who read “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes” by Eleanor Coerr. It’s a true story about a young girl who survived Hiroshima only to be diagnosed with an aggressive leukemia later on. While Sadako underwent treatment in the hospital, she folded hundreds of paper cranes, a project her classmates took on after her death.

Lizzy and her classmates were greatly moved and inspired by this story, and set out to fold as many cranes as they could… a project that continues to this day!

This , we honor warriors like Lizzy and Sadako, who inspire us to work for a better world.💛
