Some stories are too important to keep to ourselves. 🤍
For two years, John and I poured our hearts into writing our book, sharing Lizzy’s story and the journey that forever changed our lives.
Now, we are taking the next step… our book is being brought to life in an audio version!
We recently traveled to Nashville to record, and what we thought would be an easy recording experience became something so much more. As we read our own words and revisited moments from our journey with Lizzy, the emotions came flooding back. We broke down multiple times. We remembered the heartbreak, the fear, the love, the faith, and the moments that changed us forever.
Even though we lived this story, putting it into words and then hearing it spoken aloud brought us back to places in our hearts that are difficult to describe.
But we know WHY we are sharing it.
We want Lizzy’s story to reach more people. We want to bring greater awareness to childhood cancer, help families feel less alone, and remind people of the importance of supporting research and the families facing this devastating disease.
We are so incredibly grateful to the Cook Family Foundation, who believed in our vision and supported us in making this next chapter possible. Their generosity is helping us take Lizzy’s story beyond the pages of a book and into the ears and hearts of even more people.
We may never be able to change what happened to Lizzy, but we can continue to share her story, carry her light, and work toward a future where more children and families have hope.
This is more than an audio book to us. It’s another way to keep Lizzy’s story alive. Another opportunity to make a difference. And another step toward bringing awareness to a disease no family should ever have to face.
Lizzy’s story deserves to be heard. And we are just getting started. 🤍
