Every family has a story - this is ours. Last year around this time our family was devastated with the news that our Mama and Papa were diagnosed with COVID-19. When Papa was admitted to the hospital he was allowed no visitors and for two weeks we were left with tears and prayers. Papa went to be with the Lord the day after Christmas. He was one of the most important people in our lives. The mission of Papa's Hands is to honor him and help the families who are in the same place we were this time last year. We believe in the power of presence and prayer. Help us extend a hand to these patients and families and let them know they're not alone. Papa's hands were strong, caring, and generous - let ours be the same.🤍

👋238 hands strong.👋 THANK YOU to each of you for extending a hand! We just dropped them off at Columbia MO VA Medical Center. On average they have no less than 75 patients in the hospital at Christmas. You helped make a difference in their lives this season.💙🙏🏼💙

Hands are precious.They offer generosity, kindness, compassion, and love.🤲 They produce the fruit of our labor and they are the first extension of embrace. In many religions the practice of laying hands on someone is symbolic of prayer and blessing.🙏 Our goal with Papa’s Hands is to do just this for patients and their families in the hospital this holiday season. So, how can you help
1) Make an outline of your hand on a piece of paper.
2) Cut the outline out.
3) Write a message of encouragement, send a prayer, or simply leave it blank, but mail the paper hand(s) to PO Box 133, Columbia, MO 65205.

Every paper hand that is extended will be chained together and prayed over by a community of family and friends, then taken to the local hospitals to be distributed to the patients and their families.
