The Legion of Black Collegians was the first Black student government in the nation, dating back more than 50 years. The LBC student government has 89 members in its senate body in addition to elected cabinet members and standing committees, which specialize in representing Black students on campus. The organization hosts community building through social events and volunteer work. LBC President Amaya Morgan says that, most importantly, LBC hears student concerns and brings them to Mizzou administration.
