❤️💛⚾️ ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END… ⚾️💛❤️
The last ride may be over, but what a ride it was.
Unfortunately, the boys' run came to an end in their first game on Championship Sunday. But while the baseball ended, the memories they created in Cooperstown will last a lifetime.
The Colonie Raiders 12U team gave us an experience we will never forget.
6-0. A trip to Championship Sunday. One of the final 16 teams standing out of 104 teams.
2nd place out of 104 in the team around the horn competition
2nd place in the golden arm competition
But the wins and losses don't tell the whole story.
Words can't fully express how proud we are of this group of boys. They represented Colonie Baseball, their families and each other with tremendous pride, effort and class.
And to everyone who supported them along the way — THANK YOU!
Thank you to the Colonie Baseball program.
Thank you to our community.
Thank you to the families and friends who followed along from home.
And thank you to the coaches, parents and supporters who made the trip to Cooperstown.
And perhaps most special of all, thank you to the other baseball programs who stopped by, cheered for us and showed these boys what youth baseball is really supposed to be about. That support meant more than you know. ❤️⚾️
We talked all week about "One Last Ride."
And yes… 12U is now complete.
Five years of playing together.
Five years of practices.
Five years of tournaments and road trips.
Five years of wins, losses, laughs, friendships and memories.
That chapter is officially closed.
But this is NOT the last chapter.
The boys may be leaving the 12U field behind, but they're moving on to a bigger field, bigger challenges and many more years of baseball still ahead.
The friendships will continue.
The families will continue.
The memories will continue.
THE BASEBALL WILL CONTINUE. ⚾️
So here's to the next chapter.
To bigger fields.
To new challenges.
To more road trips.
To more laughs.
To more wins.
To more memories.
And to many more years of fun, family and baseball.
