Please review the consolidated attire guide and ensure that you are in compliance with the dress code:

• Thursday: Business casual.

• Friday: Black ΑΦΑ polo shirt and khaki pants.

• Saturday: Black suit only; an Alpha Blazer is acceptable.

LEGACY — BROTHER DARRYL ARBOR

Brother Darryl Arbor will receive the Trailblazer Award for Legacy, recognizing a life of sustained service to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the broader Memphis community.

Brother Arbor’s contributions to the Fraternity span thelocal, regional, and national levels, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to the ideals and mission of Alpha Phi Alpha.

His work with the National Civil Rights Museum, particularly surrounding the annual observances commemorating the birth and assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a distinguished member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., further reflects a commitment to preserving and advancing a legacy of service, justice, leadership, and civic responsibility.

The National Civil Rights Museum’s annual April 4th commemoration at the Lorraine Motel continues to honor Dr. King’s life and legacy, with Alpha Phi Alpha participating in the fraternal tribute and ceremonial changing of the wreath.

IMPACT — JAYLEN HUNTER

Jaylen Hunter, a Memphis actor whose growing career has taken him from his hometown to major film and theatrical productions, will receive the Trailblazer Award for Impact.

Hunter has represented Memphis through his work as an actor, including appearances connected to “Michael” and “The Lion King.” His accomplishments demonstrate the possibilities that emerge when talent, preparation, perseverance, and opportunity meet.

His recognition reflects not only his accomplishments in the arts but also the impact of a young Memphian carrying the spirit and creative legacy of his community onto larger stages.

SERVICE — DR. LASONYA HALL

Dr. LaSonya Hall, the recently elected Shelby County Clerk, will receive the Trailblazer Award for Service.

With more than three decades of public service and executive leadership in local government, Hall has served the Memphis and Shelby County community in numerous leadership capacities. Her career reflects a sustained commitment to strengthening government operations, improving the delivery of public services, and serving the citizens of Shelby County.

Her election as Shelby County Clerk represents another chapter in a career dedicated to public service and community leadership.

Alabama District Conference | Birmingham, Alabama

The Association of Tennessee Alphamen made the trip to Birmingham, Alabama, for the Alabama District Conference of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

It was a great opportunity to connect with Brothers, share ideas, strengthen relationships, and experience the power of brotherhood across state lines. From leadership and service to fellowship and celebrating our rich legacy, the weekend was a reminder that the work continues wherever we are called to serve.

Proud to represent Tennessee, proud to stand with the Brothers, and always proud to be an Alpha Man.
