Our Leadership Collierville Youth Class of 2027 had an incredible day of learning! Students started at the courthouse, observing court in session and asking questions of Judge Dobson, before heading to the Collierville Police Department for hands-on experiences with the SWAT, motorcycle, drone, and mobile command units and an exciting K9 demonstration!

A special thank you to the Collierville Police Department and staff for opening their doors and helping make this memorable day possible!

A Great Start to the Leadership Collierville Program!

Our adult class kicked off with an inside look at the Collierville Police Department! Participants learned about the department’s many divisions, explored the Mobile Command Unit, SWAT, motorcycle, and drone units, toured the Crime Lab and Dispatch Center, and viewed a K9 demonstration. It was an informative day that offered a new appreciation for the people who serve our community!

A special THANK YOU to the Collierville Police Department and staff for welcoming and hosting us, and to board member Chad Kelsey for sponsoring lunch!

What an incredible morning kicking off our Leadership Collierville Alumni Speaker Series for the year!

We are grateful to our featured speaker, Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett, who has served as our state’s 37th Secretary of State since 2009, and State Representative Ron M. Gant (District 94 and Majority Assistant Leader), who also generously served as our event sponsor. Representative Gant is also a Leadership Collierville Alum!

One of the most impactful takeaways from this morning's session was learning that Tennessee has been ranked number one in the country for election integrity for five consecutive years.

Elections matter, and your vote matters.

As leaders in our community, one of the greatest ways we can make a difference is by actively championing civic participation by encouraging others to get involved, registering eligible citizens, and making sure we bring new voters to the polls with us. Official voter registration verification and election details are available directly through the Tennessee Secretary of State Division of Elections here: GoVoteTn.gov

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to start our Speaker Series season on such an inspiring note!

Leadership Collierville was proud to take the stage at the Collierville Chamber of Commerce monthly membership meeting today to celebrate two incredible leaders who make Collierville stronger every single day.

Join us in celebrating our 2026 Award Recipients!

H.R. Houston Community Leadership Award: Alexis Heinz

Named in honor of longtime community leader Randy Houston, this award recognizes distinguished service and impact across our town. Alexis models what it means to lead beyond the call of duty, serving on multiple community boards (including Board President for LC, the Chamber, CEF, Balloon Fest, and Rotary) and constantly showing up to sponsor and support our community.

Jeff Abeln Outstanding Alumni Award: Peri Pellitteri

Named in loving memory of Assistant Police Chief and LC past President Jeff Abeln, this award recognizes an alum who goes above and beyond to champion Leadership Collierville. Peri logged over 250–300+ volunteer hours this year, serving as Secretary and VP of the Adult Program. When we faced a leadership transition, Peri stepped up without hesitation to ensure our class crossed the finish line seamlessly.

Thank you both for your leadership and commitment to Collierville!

And thank you to the Collierville Chamber of Commerce for hosting us, and to all the Leadership Collierville alumni who joined us on stage for our group photo.
