Halloween weekend is here! 🎃

With Halloween parties and celebrations happening this weekend, it's an important time for parents and caregivers to check in with their teens about their plans and expectations.

A few simple conversations can go a long way! Before your teen heads out, make sure you know where they're going, who they'll be with, and how they plan to get home. Talk openly about alcohol and other substances, set clear expectations, and remind them they can always reach out if they need help.

We’ll be showing Hotel Transylvania, with free popcorn and hot chocolate to enjoy during the movie!

Happy Red Ribbon Week!🎗️

Today, the Cohasset Youth Ambassadors visited Osgood and Deer Hill to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign that promotes healthy, substance-free lifestyles and encourages young people to make positive choices.

This year's theme, "Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free," reminds us that we can all be heroes through the choices we make every day!

At Osgood, our ambassadors talked with 1st graders about keeping their brains healthy, making good choices, and using their superpowers to take care of themselves and others. At Deer Hill, they spoke with 5th graders about the importance of making healthy, safe choices and staying substance-free.

A big thank you to our CYA ambassadors for sharing these important messages with younger students and to both schools for welcoming us! We love seeing our youth leaders making a positive difference in their community!

💊 Today is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

Take a few minutes to clean out your medicine cabinet and safely dispose of any unused, unwanted, or expired medications!

Drop off your medications at the Cohasset Police Department TODAY, October 24, from 10 AM–2 PM.

Properly disposing of medications helps prevent misuse, keeps medications out of the wrong hands, and protects our environment by keeping them out of our waterways.

Can’t make it today? The medication drop-off kiosk at the Cohasset Police Department is available year-round!

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is coming up! 💊

Do you have unused or expired medications sitting in your medicine cabinet? National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a great opportunity to safely get rid of medications you no longer need!

On Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM–2 PM, stop by the Cohasset Police Department to dispose of unwanted medications in the department's drop-off kiosk. Proper disposal helps prevent medication misuse and accidental ingestion while also keeping medications out of our waterways.

Can't make it on October 24? No problem! The drop-off kiosk is accessible year-round, so you can safely dispose of unwanted medications whenever it's convenient for you.

It was a busy week for the Cohasset Youth Ambassadors!

On Saturday, we officially kicked off the 2026–2027 CYA year with our annual Kick-Off Training at the Cohasset Lightkeepers. New and returning ambassadors spent the day getting to know one another, learning more about CYA, and starting to think about their goals and ideas for the year ahead. A special thank you to CMS Principal Mr. Scopelleti for joining us and helping inspire some great ideas for the year!

On Wednesday, the ambassadors kicked off the year with their first meeting! We’re excited to have another great group of ambassadors and are looking forward to seeing what they accomplish this year!
