BREVARD COUNTY, FL — The costumes can wait. Saturday belongs to playoff football.

After nine weeks of regular-season action, the 2026 Atlantic Coast Youth Athletic Association Division 1 postseason begins October 31 with 23 opening-round games across six age divisions.

BSN YOUTH FOOTBALL SATURDAY SHOWDOWN: FIVE UNDEFEATED TEAMS, TWO BREVARD POWERHOUSES COLLIDE AS COCOA INVADES WEST MELBOURNE

Five Unbeaten Teams Bring a Combined 38–0 Record to Max Rodes Park; Coverage Begins at 9 AM and Continues All Day on BSN Facebook and YouTube

By: Caleb Brown | Brevard Sports Network

WEST MELBOURNE, FL — Five undefeated teams. A combined 38–0 record. Defending Super Bowl champions throughout the lineup. And a full day of football between two of Brevard County’s premier youth programs.

Cocoa and West Melbourne meet Saturday, October 17, at Max Rodes Park with playoff positioning, perfect seasons and county bragging rights on the line.

With two weeks remaining in the 2026 regular season, West Melbourne brings three unbeaten teams: the 8U Spurs, 10U Outlaws and 12U Colts. Cocoa counters with undefeated Tigers teams in the 10U and 14U divisions.

Across those five divisions, West Melbourne owns a combined 36–3 record, while Cocoa stands at 26–9.

Brevard Sports Network’s coverage begins at 9 AM and continues all day, with Caleb Brown, the Voice of Brevard County Youth Football, calling the action live on BSN Facebook and YouTube.

SATURDAY’S MATCHUPS

Records and positions reflect the October 10 ACYAA standings.

8U: Cocoa Tigers (5–2, fourth) at West Melbourne Spurs (8–0, first)

9U: West Melbourne Mustangs vs. Fort Pierce Firehawks Black

10U: Cocoa Tigers (7–0, tied for first) at West Melbourne Outlaws (8–0, tied for first)

11U: Cocoa Tigers (2–5, sixth) at West Melbourne Broncos (6–2, second)

12U: Cocoa Tigers (5–2, fourth) at West Melbourne Colts (8–0, first)

14U: Cocoa Tigers (7–0, first) at West Melbourne Cowboys (6–1, tied for second)

8U: UNBEATEN SPURS FACE THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS

The West Melbourne Spurs have been perfect through eight games, but Saturday brings a challenge from a Cocoa Tigers team that knows what championship football requires.

The defending Super Bowl champion Tigers enter 5–2 and fourth in the standings, giving Cocoa an opportunity to shake up the division against its unbeaten leader.

For the Spurs, a ninth consecutive victory would protect first place and strengthen their championship credentials. For the Tigers, knocking off West Melbourne would send a clear message that the defending champions remain a threat.

9U: MUSTANGS TAKE ON FIREHAWKS BLACK

The West Melbourne Mustangs will also be part of Saturday’s action, facing Fort Pierce Firehawks Black.

The matchup adds another division to a packed day at Max Rodes Park as the Mustangs look to deliver a victory in front of their home crowd.

10U: TIGERS AND OUTLAWS PUT PERFECT SEASONS ON THE LINE

Fifteen combined victories. Zero losses.

Something has to give when the Cocoa Tigers meet the West Melbourne Outlaws.

The Tigers arrive 7–0, while the Outlaws enter 8–0. Both sit tied atop the standings, making this a direct showdown between undefeated championship contenders.

Cocoa can match West Melbourne’s eight victories while handing the Outlaws their first defeat. West Melbourne can reach 9–0 and establish separation from another unbeaten contender.

With the playoffs approaching, this is the kind of matchup that can reveal how a team handles championship pressure before the postseason begins.

11U: DEFENDING CHAMPION BRONCOS LOOK TO HOLD THEIR GROUND

The West Melbourne Broncos enter Saturday as defending Super Bowl champions, but their immediate focus is protecting second place behind undefeated Titusville.

At 6–2, the Broncos remain among the division’s leading contenders. The Cocoa Tigers arrive 2–5 and sixth in the standings, looking for a result that could change the tone of their closing stretch.

West Melbourne needs to maintain its momentum. Cocoa has an opportunity to disrupt it against a team with championship experience.

12U: DEFENDING CHAMPION COLTS CHASE ANOTHER WIN

The West Melbourne Colts have followed last years Super Bowl championships with an 8–0 start.

Now the Cocoa Tigers get their opportunity to challenge the division leader.

Cocoa enters 5–2 and fourth in the standings, with a chance to improve its postseason outlook against the team everyone is chasing.

For the Colts, Saturday is another step toward an undefeated regular season and another Super Bowl championship. For the Tigers, an upset would provide a significant confidence boost heading toward the playoffs.

14U: COWBOYS CHALLENGE COCOA’S CHAMPIONSHIP RUN

The Cocoa Tigers have won three consecutive 14U Super Bowls. At 7–0, they remain unbeaten in their pursuit of a fourth.

The West Melbourne Cowboys intend to make that pursuit more difficult.

At 6–1, the Cowboys are tied for second with Space Coast and Tri-County. Saturday gives West Melbourne a direct opportunity to challenge the division leader and measure itself against the reigning champions.

A Tigers victory would preserve Cocoa’s perfect record and first-place position. A Cowboys win would hand the champions their first loss and tighten the race at the top.

This matchup brings together a program defending its championship standard and a contender looking to prove it belongs beside it.

A FULL DAY OF BREVARD YOUTH FOOTBALL

From the Spurs and Mustangs to the Outlaws, Broncos, Colts and Cowboys, West Melbourne will have its teams ready to defend their home field.

Across from them, the Cocoa Tigers bring unbeaten contenders, defending champions and teams eager to finish the regular season strong. Fort Pierce Firehawks Black joins the lineup against the Mustangs in 9U action.

Five perfect records enter the day. The Tigers and Outlaws guarantee that at least one will fall.

Add the championship experience throughout the schedule, and Max Rodes Park is set for a Saturday with plenty at stake.
