Our Brevard Campus opened in Cocoa in June of 2022 however Matthew’s Hope has served Orange County since 2010. Doing all this with $0 in government funding.

The ministry was created to help successfully move people forward from homelessness towards a life of independence and self sustainability. Matthew's Hope is a ministry first and foremost demonstrating the love, hope, grace and mercy of Jesus Christ in all we do; and a facilitator of opportunity to those who choose to move forward toward a life of independence and self sustainability. It all began with a "Freeze Warning" Shelter offering the homeless a place to escape the cold when temperatures dropped to dangerous lows. Matthew's Hope has now has expanded to offer many services to the Homeless of our Community to include everything from basic services such as showers, haircuts and laundry, to Medical Care, a Montessori Preschool & Daycare, Transitional Housing and our Matthew's Hope Chest Workshop & Store. Palantir billionaire Joe Lonsdale, who has called for bringing back public executions, is using his conservative think tank, the Cicero Institute, to make homelessness a crime throughout the country. Cicero's policies call for arresting and ticketing people for experiencing homelessness, throwing them into detention camps, and subjecting them to unpaid labor.

Joe Lonsdale’s Cicero Institute contends that we can arrest our way out of the housing crisis, and that states must enforce laws ‘prohibiting open drug use, urban squatting, camping, and loitering.’

👉Matthew’s Hope continues to grow and we are in need of adding additional Overnight Drivers/Chaperones to our Sleeper Bus Team.

💜We desire individuals with a heart for others that wi treat all people with dignity and respect. Each evening you will drive one of our Shuttles, picking folks up from throughout Brevard, and returning them the next morning. In addition, you will be an overnight chaperone on one of our three Sleeper Buses.

👉This position is approximately 36-40 hours a week. Three nights on, 4 nights off, roughly 6:00pm to 7:30am

🫟A CDL with Passenger Endorsement, and/or the willingness to pursue a CDL along with an understanding of POS Systems or basic computer skills is a plus.

🫟Every Monday and Wednesday our Mobile Teams are out and about throughout all of Brevard County, caring for the homeless men, women and children of our community. They head out well before the sun rises so to catch as many as we can before they are scattered.

💜Our main objective is to encourage each of them to catch one of our transport shuttles into our Outreach Center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings where they will enjoy hearty fresh cooked meals, showers, haircuts, laundry service, medical assistance, mental health care and so much more.
