PLEASE SHARE!
Many of you know that we have a FREE pile located beside GCRR's Rescued Treasures . This is where we place donated items that we are unable to use or sell, in hopes that someone else can put them to good use! ❤️
Recently, we've noticed that people have been adding items to the free pile themselves. While this may seem harmless, it has become a bit of an issue.
We intentionally keep the pile limited to maintain cleanliness and prevent clutter. Unfortunately, on several occasions, we've found quite a bit of extra "stuff" piled up, leaving us to spend time cleaning up the area.
We also personally go through items before placing them in the free pile. Since this is still private property and ultimately our responsibility, we aren't comfortable having unknown items added without our knowledge.
❤️ So we're politely asking everyone to PLEASE NOT add items directly to the free pile.
If you have items you'd like to donate, you're more than welcome to leave them boxed or bagged at the door of Rescued Treasures. We will gladly sort through them and add appropriate items to the pile ourselves!
We truly hope this message reaches the right people. Our goal has always been to give usable items a second chance while helping others in our community.
Unfortunately, if this continues, we may have no choice but to discontinue the free pile altogether, and we really don't want to do that! We know many people have enjoyed and benefited from it.
Please help us keep this little community resource available by respecting these simple guidelines. ❤️
