Schoharie County 4-H 4-H is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension which helps youth gain knowledge, self confidence, self esteem and skills through hands on learning.

4-H is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension which helps youth gain knowledge, self confidence, self esteem and master skills through hands on learning. 4-H youth are guided through projects by adult volunteers. 4-H youth can participate in activities in Schoharie County (dog obedience, Cobleskill Sunshine Fair), at Cornell University (Animal Crackers, Career Explorations), around New York State (Capitol Days, the NY State Fair), and around the country (Wonders of Washington, Citizenship Focus). Youth who belong to 4-H clubs build social skills, form lasting friendships, and learn from other youth in an informal setting. Clubs can have formal meetings with parliamentary procedure or informal meetings where youth and adults share knowledge and practice skills. Youth who are individual members are encouraged to participate in county wide, state or regional activities. There is no membership fee to become a 4-H member or Cloverbud. Membership is open to all youth regardless of race, color, s*x, national origin or handicap.

In person participants will enjoy complementary appetizers and desserts. All participants will have the opportunity to hear from CCESO’s Board members and staff about the work we do throughout Schoharie and Otsego Counties.

Ready to give archery a shot?

Join us on Saturday, November 7th, for our 4-H Archery Workshop at the Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club! Whether you're picking up a bow for the first time or looking to build on your skills, we have a workshop for you!

🏹 Open to youth ages 8 and up
🏹 $5 per participant
🏹 Beginner and intermediate sessions available

Tonight is a great night to support CCE Schoharie & Otsego Counties 4-H Programs!

Today is Mohawk Valley Gives, a community-wide day of giving, and Cornell Cooperative Extension Schoharie and Otsego Counties is participating!

STAR is NYS 4-H Youth Development’s State Teen Action Retreat.
It is a premiere youth voice opportunity, open to youth ages 13-19. STAR is a fun-filled weekend which helps to invigorate 4-H programming across NYS and showcases positive youth development, experiential learning, agriculture, sustainable food systems, STEM, and civic engagement workshops. Roundtables are modeled after the 4-H pillars and help youth to do a deep dive in the topics outside of the hands-on workshops. They also have a community service, keynote speaker, dinner/dance and ice cream social.

STAR will be held on September 18-20, 2026 at Camp Woodland (Constantia, NY in Oswego County). For more details visit: https://www.nys4-h.org/star
