OUR BIBLICAL POSITION ON HALLOWEEN
Now Glory Ministries | The Glory Center
As Halloween approaches, we believe it is important to clearly communicate our position as a Christian ministry.
We do not celebrate, observe, or participate in Halloween, and we believe Christians are called to refrain from its celebration.
Our position is not based on personal preference, tradition, or fear. It is rooted in our understanding of the Word of God and the biblical call to holiness.
The Apostle Paul declares:
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” — Ephesians 5:11 (KJV)
Halloween has become a celebration in which darkness, witchcraft, demons, death, and occult imagery are frequently embraced, normalized, and even celebrated.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe we are called to be different.
We cannot profess to walk in the light while willingly participating in what we believe celebrates darkness.
Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:8:
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.”
Our calling is not to conform to the culture around us, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).
We understand that some view Halloween as harmless entertainment, costumes, and candy. We also recognize that Christians hold differing convictions concerning its observance.
While we do not condemn those who choose differently, we cannot compromise what we believe Scripture calls us to uphold.
Holiness is not about believing we are better than others. It is about recognizing that we belong to God and that our lives should reflect Him.
We are not called to blend in with darkness. We are called to shine as light.
Our position is clear. Our conviction is firm. And our desire is to honor Jesus Christ in everything we do.
