Take 50! 🎬
Hello,
I’m Anthony, the coordinator for Lifting Dystrophy.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people are diagnosed with a form of Muscular Dystrophy (MD) such as Becker, Duchenne, or A.L.S. This family of genetic diseases cause the deterioration of the muscular system. This attack robs its victims of the basic joys of life that we experience. the ability to walk a dog, ride a bike, hug a family member, or go to the gym. That is why Lifting Dystrophy has teamed up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
The MDA is the leading non-profit organization in fighting muscular dystrophy. MDA’s work includes funding frontline research into emerging therapies, and treaments, as well as the search for a potential cure. They also facilitate improved quality of life provisions.
In order to support this endeavor, Lifting Dystrophy is hosting a Squat-A-Thon. We are creating a team of deditcated athletes eager to support this cause. Now we are asking for sponsors. Sponsors will pledge a financial contribution to our campaign scaled by the performance of an individual athlete or at a penny per pound lifted rate across the entire enterprise. Each method can be capped at the individual sponsors discretion.
We are also having a T-Shirt fundraiser through CustomInk.com, where you can buy our charitable t-shirt for yourself, a family member or even donate it to a Lifting Dystrophy athlete!
Joining us at Lifting Dystrophy is a great way to get involved with an amazing organization, and all funds raised by our campaign will go to MDA. This means your donation will have a direct impact on potentially finding a cure, providing an essential tool such as a Hoyer Lift, or sending a child with MD to a special summer camp filled with adventure and life long experiences. Your contributions can even go towards helping connect patients with the right doctors or making someones life as comfortable as possible while they battle their symptoms.
Remember, we lift in honor of those who cannot.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
