Join us at Ruckman Pond on Sunday, June 7th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for our free, family-friendly community fair.

There is so much to do and explore:

We are ready to jump into summer with a busy June! Check out all our upcoming events and programs. The Pond Celebration is our favorite annual fair, and we are proud to be partnering with the Closter Lion's Club for their Duck Derby Fundraiser. See you on the trails!

Improvements are underway! Thanks to a grant from the Borough of Closter's Open Space Program, we are making much needed repairs to the shore of Ruckman Pond. Work will be restoring the bank after years of erosion and runoff damage, as well as renovating some of the pond loop trail. Check back soon to see our progress!

Thanks to Closter Lions Club for running this year's 4th Annual Duck Derby in support of Closter Nature Center! Adopt a Duck for $20 or a Quack Pack of 6 Ducks for $100 and have a chance to win some great prizes! The Duck Derby will take place on June 6, so adopt your ducks soon! 🐥🐥🐥

🐦 Reminder: The Warblers are Waiting! Spring migration is peaking right now! Trustee and birder Joel Rudin hosts an easy, beginner-friendly walk this Sunday, May 3rd at 9 am.

The event is free for CNC members, with a $10 suggested donation for all other guests.

Community in action. 🥣 Last Sunday, over 150 people gathered to share a meal and support a great cause.

Because of our wonderful attendees and the local partners who donated soup, we raised vital funds for our conservation and education programs. Thank you for helping us protect our future, one bowl at a time!
