We are so proud of our sister Girl Scouts! Wonderful job!!!

Shout out to GSNNJ Girl Scout Junior Troop 97788 of Closter. These Girl Scouts were featured in Bergen County's The Neighbors magazine for spreading kindness through their many creative community service projects. Most recently, the girls partnered with the non-profit organization Bears from Bergenfield, which ships new and gently used stuffed animals across the world to children who have been victims of war and terror. Last year, the girls sent bears to children in the Ukraine, and this year their stuffed animals were flown to Israel to be distributed to displaced families and used for pediatric mental health services. Girl Scout Cadettes: Discover how Respect, Equality, Autonomy, Communication, and Honesty are the necessary ingredients for healthy friendships and romantic relationships during our R.E.A.C.H. seminar. Join GSNNJ staff on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Riverdale Service Center for this event as we partner with local dating abuse prevention agencies to dissect behaviors and learn to identify abuse.

Through interactive activities, you’ll begin to understand the incremental nature of abuse and spot abusive behaviors. You’ll receive resources that can be shared with friends.
