Join us for Power & Profit: Taking Control of Your Business Finances, a hands-on workshop designed to give you the tools and confidence to better understand and manage your business finances.

This session will be led by Tina Pavlot, Vice President and Senior Branch Manager at M&T Bank, and will cover key topics including understanding financial statements, budgeting, and pricing your products. A Q&A and networking session will follow.

Baird Private Wealth Management’s Utica office is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Dream-Achieve-Inspire Award. The award honors extraordinary women in the local community whose leadership, service, generosity, and compassion have made a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Community members are encouraged to nominate women who exemplify strength, dedication, and a commitment to helping others. Nominees may include business owners, educators, volunteers, caregivers, mentors, nonprofit leaders, or individuals quietly making a lasting difference behind the scenes. The award seeks to recognize women from all walks of life whose stories deserve to be celebrated and shared.

The women selected will be honored at our Power of the Purse event on October 15 and will each receive a $500 donation from Baird to the charity of their choice. Nominations are due by Tuesday, June 30.

Your support not only celebrated incredible mothers and mentors, it also opened doors, provided inspiration, opportunities, and a path forward to women in our communities. Your gift has made a difference in helping women & girls move forward. Thank you for being part of our mission.

1 in 4 girls miss school because they don’t have access to basic period products. That’s a gap in education that shouldn’t exist. And at The Women’s Fund, we’re doing something about it.

Through our Period Project, we’re providing menstrual hygiene products to middle and high schools across Herkimer and Oneida Counties ensuring no student has to sacrifice her education because she doesn’t have access to, or can’t afford the supplies she needs.

We’ve been doing this for two years now, and have been hearing back from the schools about how this has made an impact. Here’s a recent note from nurses at Clinton Middle and High schools:

“We just wanted to extend a huge heartfelt thank you for all of the feminine products that were recently brought in…The quality of the products are definitely appreciated by the students as well. Thank you for always thinking of our district…"

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave service members who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are mindful of the women, both past and present, who have served our country with courage and sacrifice, and we honor the strength and resilience of the women left behind who have carried on in the face of the loss of a family member. Their strength is a powerful reminder that sacrifice is felt far beyond the battlefield.

Our mission at The Women’s Fund is to create economic, educational, and personal growth opportunities for women of all ages.

How do we accomplish this?

By directing resources where they are needed most and supporting women at different stages of life. This includes providing immediate assistance through Annie’s Fund, helping women stay in school through Isla’s Fund & the Ann P. Allen Memorial scholarship, investing in women entrepreneurs through Women Investing in Women, funding nonprofit programs that serve women and girls, and addressing the critical needs of women in our community through initiatives like the Period Project.
