Last week also marked the start of our Journalism and Media Camp! 🎥📰
Students jumped right into the world of media, learning how stories are created and exploring the work that goes on behind the scenes. They even had the opportunity to conduct interviews with students from our Culinary Arts Camp, gaining hands-on experience in reporting and storytelling.
Journalism and Media Camp runs all summer long, and we can't wait to share the amazing projects and stories our students create. Stay tuned for more highlights from this exciting camp! ✨🎤📸

Culinary Arts Camp was phenomenal!
We wrapped up yesterday with a lunch for our Envision U sponsors. Students created the menu, prepared the meal, and showcased the skills they learned throughout the week.
We had a great time exploring the food industry, and these students did a wonderful job. We are so proud of all they accomplished! 🍽️👏

Thursday, our Culinary Arts Camp had the opportunity to visit Bloomington Career Academy, where they explored the large teaching kitchen, learned new culinary techniques, and discovered the many educational opportunities available through the program.
Afterward, they stopped at Pop-Up Chicken for lunch, where they enjoyed a delicious meal and learned more about the restaurant’s outstanding food service operations. It was a fun and educational day filled with hands-on learning and new experiences!

Yesterday, our Culinary Arts Camp visited the local Dairy Queen for a fun behind-the-scenes experience! Campers toured the kitchen and learned about the different machines and equipment used to create so many delicious desserts. Campers even got to try their hand at making a perfect ice cream cone themselves!

Culinary Arts Camp has been hard at work this week! On Monday and Tuesday, campers spent time creating delicious meals while learning about kitchen tools, safety procedures, and proper food preparation.
