The Rho Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, was chartered on Saturday, November 18, 1989 under the leadership of
Dorothy Starr Johnson. The charter members of the chapter were Mary Brown, Celesti

ne Goodman, Vanessa Hill, Dorothy S. Johnson, Pamela Jones, Margaret Lawrence, Karla Parker, Quessie Peterson, Rebecca Irene Peterson, Marion Phillips, Geraldine Spates, Janet Spaulding, Yvonne Wallace, and Elaine Walker. The chapter quickly added two incorporated members: Audrey Peterson and Valerie Merritt. Soon afterwards, Eva Lennon and Melma July joined Rho Omega Omega.
