Today was a reminder of what makes the GRRoM family so extraordinary. 💛

Riley’s journey to safety came together in a matter of hours thanks to the dedication of our incredible volunteer network.

When a transport request was sent out to help move Riley from northern Michigan to his foster home, volunteers immediately stepped up. Within a short time, a transporter was on the road, ensuring Riley could make his way to a loving foster family where he can begin his next chapter.

What makes this story even more special is the impact this quick response had on Riley’s owner. Making the difficult decision to surrender a beloved dog is never easy. Knowing that Riley would be safe, cared for, and welcomed into the GRRoM family helped provide comfort during an emotional time.

Every transport is about more than just miles traveled. It’s about compassion, teamwork, and giving dogs like Riley the opportunity for a brighter future.

To our amazing volunteers: thank you for answering the call, often on very short notice, and making these life-changing journeys possible. Riley is safe tonight because of you. 🐾💛

Welcome to GRRoM, Riley!

Bobo is a 2 year old neutered male that came into a Golden Retriever rescue in the DC area on March 26. Mary, their intake foster coordinator contacted GRRoM to see if we could help this friendly guy.

Bobo would love a fenced dog and another dog to play with. He loves to play, needs a home with fenced yard, no kids, time for walks (he loves them) someone with patience and and be willing to work with him. He loves carrying around his stuffies.

We are running out of options and time for Mr. Bobo. Can someone help us at this point? Please contact me and I can answer any questions you may have. Please lets give him a chance.

Medical Needs in Foster:
Susie is on a diet to reduce here allergies and her skin has improved with medicated shampoo baths.
Regular vet visits and weight monitoring are recommended, and covered by GRRoM while in foster care.

Cats: Not cat-friendly
Dogs: Excited and interested in other dogs.
Children: Unknown.
Visitors: Barks excitedly when people arrive but settles down. She is currently crated during visitors.

What a journey for sweet Darlene! 💛

After months of planning, travel, appointments, and an incredible team effort, Darlene successfully underwent surgery at Purdue to correct her ectopic ureters. Her procedure went beautifully, and she is now home recovering with her foster family and best buddy, Fergus.

This rescue story truly showcases the power of teamwork. From coordinating transportation and appointments to spending countless hours on the road, so many GRRoM volunteers stepped up to make sure Darlene received the specialized care she needed.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who played a part in her journey. Because of your dedication, Darlene has a brighter, healthier future ahead of her.

And the best ending of all? Darlene has found her forever home with the people who fell in love with this goofy, joyful girl while fostering her.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Stories like Darlene’s remind us what can happen when a community comes together for a dog in need. 🐾💛

🐾⛳️ Some sponsorships are especially meaningful because they come straight from the love people have for their dogs. 💛

A huge thank you to the Klein family for sponsoring a golf cart at this year’s Golfing for Goldens 2026 outing on behalf of their sweet dog!

The bond between people and their dogs is what inspires everything we do at GRRoM. Sponsorships like this help ensure that more Golden Retrievers can receive the care, medical treatment, and second chances they deserve while waiting to find their forever homes.

We are incredibly grateful to the Klein family for their generosity and for helping make this event a success. Their support is a wonderful reminder that every golden leaves a paw print on our hearts and inspires us to give back.

Thank you, Klein family, for helping us drive our mission forward and for honoring your beloved pup in such a special way. 🐕💛

FOSTER NEEDED FOR SUSIE 💛

Susie is an 11 year old Golden Retriever mix who lost her owner in March and is looking for a calm, loving foster home to help her through her golden years.

She is sweet, affectionate, housebroken, crate trained, microchipped, and up to date on vet care. Susie loves people, snuggles, treat puzzles, and daily walks. Despite her age, she still has good energy and needs continued leash work and exercise.

Susie came into rescue underweight with severe skin issues but is improving with medical care and a special diet. Her foster will need to help with:
• Weekly injections
• Medicated baths
• Vet visits and weight monitoring

She would do best in a quiet adult home with a fenced yard. No cats. Dog compatibility is unknown.

If you can help Susie heal and feel safe again, please contact:

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with !

At GRRoM, one of our biggest goals is making sure every adoptable dog has the chance to be seen by the right family. With so many wonderful dogs in rescue, visibility matters. The more people who see these dogs, the greater the chance they find the perfect forever home.

That’s why we’re so excited to partner with Clover, a platform designed to help connect adoptable dogs with potential adopters in a smarter, easier way.

Every dog who comes into rescue has a story, and every dog deserves the opportunity to be matched with a home where they can truly thrive. We believe this partnership will help more people discover the incredible dogs waiting for their second chance.

We’re proud of the work we do, but we also know rescue takes a village and partnerships like this help us continue saying YES to dogs in need.

Thank you to Clover for helping shine a light on rescue dogs everywhere. 🐕 ✨

Be sure to follow along and help us spread the word about rescue!
